9.5/10After studying lots of reviews we decided to try Monkey Temple for dinner. It was a good choice as the lamb saag and tandoori mixed grille were both well-prepared, flavorful and more than ample. We took enough food home with us to make another meal tomorrow. Recommended without equivocation.

7/101. momo’s were perfect and authentic. 2. Indian main course was good, specially garlic naan The disappointment factors was promotion of 50% discount. Discount was on very small portion of menu and we ended up paying 80% of total bill. Suggestion: don’t promote false discounts on fork.

4/10Really very disappointed. We had been before and had a good experience. This time was completely the opposite. Waited for a long time to order... Waited for a long time for the drinks and waited even longer for the food. It seems they are more interested in supplying food for the take away orders and dealing with the constant stream of food couriers.. Who always seem to leave the door open, than looking after their customers... A real pity. I will not go back.

2.5/10Arrived with the fork discount. We were placed in a dark & dirty table near the counter which looked like it was the restaurant staff spot away from all the other guests. The service was super slow. Food took more than 40 mins to arrive. The Momo’s were tasteless. The boneless lamb curry was okay but after a while felt uneasy in the stomach. Fork discount was only applicable to certain items in the menu and not the appetizers and bread which was super confusing and not mentioned during the booking. The waiter was kind but was super busy clearing cheque’s while taking our order. The plates after eating were not even picked up after eating. This is a tourist scam. The only saving grace is the waiter who is smiling, kind but too busy. I

10/10Absolutely love this restaurant! The food is incredibly delicious and full of flavour. We tried many items on the menu and loved them all. The momos are my favourite! The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful.

9.5/10The best Indian (and Nepalese !) restaurant I have ever been to, where one can find excellent not too common Asian dishes as well as unmissable classics. Their samossa chaat makes me already nostalgic. The portions are very, very generous (doggy bag available), which makes the prices really correct (especially for the Amsterdam center). The waiter was adorable too and very efficient, even though he was rather busy.

5.5/10We have been to a couple of other Indian restaurants in Amsterdam which are generally better than Monkey Temple. The food was of average quality, the lamb curry was nice but both the chicken curry and tandoori chicken were dry (chicken should have been more juicy). The portions were of a good size but what mostly bothered us was that the discount did not apply to the nan bread and extra portion of rice. Also, they charged us € 7,50 for one portion of extra rice which is outrageous in our opinion.
