The boy that serviced us was smiling and really helpful with everything we needed. He recommended us whatever we didn't know and food was exceptional !

Food was authentic and delicious. The octopus was a real highlight. Crabby chic interior with excellent attentive service. All round, a great meal.

Second visit and the quality of the food, the welcoming nature of the staff and the environment of the restaurant confirm it as an excellent option to eat in Bairro Alto!

The place is nice, but it smells mildew a bit and on the day we went it was also very cold...not the best for a meal. The service was quick and attentive, but as a matter of fact the restaurant was virtually desert so the contrary would have been shocking. The food was good, not transcendent but good. All in all a pleasant experience but nothing to be really remembered.

Delicious Portuguese food, friendly service, beautiful ambiance… you have to go! We brought some foodie friends from Portland and they loved it too. We started with the bread and olive couvert, codfish cakes with black-eyed peas, fries and flame-grilled choriço. For the mains we had bacalhau a bras, shrimp alhinho, francescinha, salad and… more fries cos they went fast. Everything was really fresh and tasty. Service was excellent, great recommendations for food and wine. And the ambiance is amazing, a nice modern update the respects the 300-year-old building. A really wonderful experience, highly recommended!

The owner is an absolute gem. He was short staffed and ran the whole restaurant service on his own. The floor of service was excellent and food to die for. Ensure you visit!

The food was decent and our server provided excellent service. However, what really left a negative impression is that the owner immediately scolded my 10 year old son for lightly tapping his butter knife twice against the placemat (not the table, mind you). Throughout the entire meal his unwelcome gaze was focused uncomfortably on us from the bar. We take dining out seriously especially with kids and this is the first time we have ever experienced this. We do not let our kids run amok, make unnecessary noise, scream or otherwise misbehave and cause a distraction to anybody. The owner either does not welcome kids or was in a bad mood that evening.

Great authentic food and service. Off the beaten track and small intimate setting.

Best meal in Lisbon after a five-day visit. A very small restaurant which takes great pride in Portugal's food and culture, and it shows in the care and quality of the dishes they turn out. I'm sorry we found it so late in our trip, otherwise we would have gone more times. They took care in explaining how the pork cheeks I ordered were cooked and my wife had duck rice, a rare treat to find on a menu. Very reasonably priced for the quality and portions.

We’re so glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem! It’s a cozy little place, but the service is top-notch and the food is delicious. The owner is a wine expert and he helped us pick the perfect bottle of Portuguese wine. We’re already missing it!

We booked for 5 people with the fork obtaining 30% of discount for the lunch! The restaurant is pretty comfortable, clean and the service was super by the manager of the restaurant. We ordered some local tapas and we really enjoyed it!! Everything was soooo good. So well cooked. Typical Portuguese savories!

Our second visit and once again amazing food. Surely one of the most underrated restaurants and best kept secrets in Lisbon. It is really hard to fault the food, ambience or service. A truly fantastic all round experience.

Simply some of the best food we have had in years. All three courses were consistently excellent. Really amazing. Plus a lovely, atmospheric setting. Also incredible value for money. The food was worth three times what they charged for it. Well worth making the effort to find it.
