Based on some reviews, this restaurant was "iffy" as a choice. We ate: flan di spinaci, Caprese con mozzarella, ravioli ricotta e spinaci cacio e pepe, tagliatelle al funghi porcini, verdure grigliate, tiramisu, and sorbetto al limone. Portions were comfortably large. All were flavorful. Servers were pleasant, patient with questions, and attentive. The bathroom was clean. And, yes, 56 Rosso appeared to be very touristy. Given its centro storico location, I expected it would be. That didn't take away from the experience - we were well fed! The negatives for me were the large photo of Giambologna's Rape of the Sabine Women (with scaffolding in the background of the photo) covering the back wall and the loud, popular music being played. Neither seemed appropriate for an eating establishment (or condusive to digestion!). Coperto and service charge are both clearly printed on the menu, so are legally justified. I would return - just turn the music down.

We were greeted nicely by a sweet girl. Unfortunately, the service and food were lackluster. Not terrible, but not a lot of flavor.

The service was phenomenal! Our waitress gave us tips, was pleasant, attentive, and even gave us recommendations for a local wine tasting place. The food always was delicious, including their Florentine steak. Salad. And appetizers! When we visit Florence again, we will definitely be back! Thank You for amazing service

I recently dined at 56 Rosso and had a fairly average experience. The food was okay; I ordered a salad with mozzarella, olives, and tomatoes, which was decent but not exceptional. The ingredients were fresh, but the dish lacked any standout flavors that would make it memorable. The atmosphere was also okay. It was comfortable enough, but nothing particularly special or noteworthy. It didn't add much to the overall dining experience. One major point of contention for me was the cost. Even with a 50% discount, I found the prices to be on the high side. Specifically, paying 15 Euros for a simple salad seemed quite steep. In my opinion, the pricing does not match the quality and simplicity of the dishes offered. On a positive note, the staff were very nice and welcoming. They provided friendly and efficient service, and I have no complaints about their hospitality. Overall, while 56 Rosso has its merits, I feel that it is overpriced for what it delivers. If the prices were more reasonable, I might consider returning, but as it stands, it doesn't offer good value for money.

Really good pizza and lasagna, loved it,we ate outside and it was great, service was great and fast.

The restaurant inside was like if it was in the middle of a renovation and was cold. Friendly service but the food mediocre.

So many better places ro eat in this area. Pasta overcooked and the simplest bruschetta I’ve ever been served. Very expensive house wine, not so good. Go elsewhere.

Great location, Very close to the centre. Super friendly staff. The food was great. Highly recommended. Lovely little terrace to enjoy a nice meal.

Well, my lasagna was preto good, the waiters were nice and the food came quick as we stayed outside, the atmosphere were amazing!

Food was very good. But waiting time was too long, from antipasto to primo we waited nearly 50min, and also we ordered Bistecca alla fiorentina and vegatables as sidedish for secondo. Vegetables arrived with appertisers.. Also primo arrived together with secondo Bistecca... Overall experience was okei, and the discount is very good.

Antipasto (ham, salami...) and Caprese was very good, wine was excellent BUT one of us was served an almost uneatable beef. The reaction from the staff: ”oh, I’m so sorry” - not offering a new beef nor any reduction of the bill
