We spent a perfect night in this restaurant. We tasted the: croquetas and pataniscas de bacalhau as appetizers. as main dishes it was an unforgettable experience to eat: bacalhau a braz and vacalhaus assado. the service is excellent

bacalhao is the first thing that you want to try when you arrive at Lisbon, my friend Valerio imitietly gave me the name of this restaurant so i reserve a table for 4 and the result was amazing...so thankful to my friend for his advice 🙏

High vaulted ceilings, walls lined with rows and rows of wine bottles and beautiful lighting make for a memorable dining experience. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. I had the octopus with sweet potatoes and roasted pepper purée - the flavours were perfectly balanced and tasted divine!

Good start to our Portugal visit wine 25 bucks for the bottle was great granges quintas duro superior, wife’s cod and peppers was perfect my cod and king crab was good not great, mash potatoes were a little cold king crab did not taste the freshest but still good. Service great table in a nook had swarm of nat’s flying around

Beautiful restaurant with striking design, with diners nestled under interior brick arches. Faint odor of stale/stinking water if you are seated near the wall. Waiters’ English was limited; service prompt but they didn’t smile when we entered; I felt unwelcome. We wanted menu recommendations and they were not very helpful. Maybe it was a language issue. Bread and various butters and olive oil were excellent. Codcake was also super. Fried cod appetizer tough and hard to eat. Grilled cod with potatoes and turnip greens was lacking flavour and oily. Delicious potatoes.. We wanted a side of vegetables, and instead of giving us the mixed vegetables, we ended up with a huge side of the same turnip greens—also tasteless and oily. My first intro to the famous Bacalhau and I conclude that I find it tough, dry and not to my liking. I usually love trying new foods and am not hard to please. Too bad. 70 euros for two, and I didn’t eat most of it. They wanted a tip too! Try if you like dried cod.

We where 8 people and had pataniscas and grilled bacalhau. Good quality codfish prepared the traditional way. A very extensive wine list with reasonable prices. A good option if you are looking for good traditional food in a special ambient.

You can’t tell how beautiful it is from the outside but once you stepped in, you will be blown away 🤩 very nice environment with great food. We love all the bacalhau dishes. The seasonings is just on point.

Everything was excellent, the food, the service, the ambience. I will come back when visit Lisbon again and definitely a place to recommend to anyone that would like to try “Bacalhau” in its different preparations.
