We were at this Restaurant twice during our stay in Lisbon. The ambience is great, several wine options and excellent service. With regard to the food, our conclusion is that it depends on your taste and chosen dish. The bacalhau com natas was the best, but the empada de bacalhau was not up to my husband’s taste. A great experience nevertheless

Everything was perfect. The waiter gave great advice on the dishes and we were positively surprised. The bacalhau com natas was my favorite. We even tried some desserts and they were equally delicious. It is outside the tourist area but definitely worth the drive

We had a great meal at A Casa do Bacalhau—very good food, especially if you're a fan of traditional Portuguese cod preparations. The menu is thoughtful and well-executed, and the quality is clear. That said, there's not much else in the immediate area, so you're coming specifically for the restaurant. It's also on the pricier side overall. We visited with three kids, and while the staff was welcoming, the experience was a bit more challenging since there weren’t any obvious kid-friendly options on the menu. If you're looking for a well-prepared cod-focused meal and don't mind the location or price, it's definitely worth the trip. Just know what you're signing up for.

I spend my days between Puerto Rico, Miami and Alicante, ES. But can’t wait for the days I visit Lisbon to see my niece and also Casa do Bacalhau. If not the best for this specialty, I haven’t visited the one that may be similar but never better. In Lisbon…. My preferred spot for a nice dinner.

I decided to visit because it had received high ratings on various websites. Although it was located in a modest area a bit away from the city center, I was surprised by how incredibly stylish the restaurant was. The staff kindly made recommendations, so I was able to order smoothly from appetizers to the main course and dessert. The bacalhau pâté served as a couvert and the gratin for the main dish were both exceptionally delicious. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.

I had an amazing experience at Casa do Bacalhau in Lisbon! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional. The staff made us feel truly welcome. The food was absolutely perfect – every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. If you love codfish, this is definitely the place to go. Everything from the atmosphere to the service and food was top-notch. Highly recommended!
