Service was sublime!! To a goldmedal!!! The food was not fresh. The arancini was prepared in the oven, we were told. It was dry on the outside and tasteless. The fish with breadcrumbs tasted ‘old’ as well. The sardines in the pasta also tasted old. The wine was fine ! The price was an insult! We found the restaurant in ‘ Lonely Planet’ : almost always reliable. But not this time alas!

A superb experience from start to finish. The food and the service were impeccable. A special mention goes to the sommelier Valentina, whose knowledge and attention made the evening even more memorable.

We had a lovely dinner at A Cuncuma. Very interesting flavours and delectable food. The place was spotless, the staff very knowledgable about the food and localmSicilian wines. We would definitely return here when in Palermo.

+6It was truly a memorable evening....definitely deserves the recognition from Michelin! Everything was perfect, the service was outstanding, the ambience was perfect and the food, well what can I say but the chef outdid himself! Taking Sicilian classics and putting his own spin on them, elevating each dish to make it his own was truly delicious! A must try when in Palermo!

+4We had the most unbelievable experience. The food and service was wonderful. My 8 and 9 year old daughters joined and loved everything as well. If you visit Palermo, it's a MUST! The presentation and flavors were delicious and you will leave truly satisfied and smiling.

Our first visit to A'Cuncuma was fantastic, so we decided to come there one more time. However, this time it was nothing like a week before. The appetizer and lamb dishes were delicious, but the ravioli (which was recommended by the host) was bland and overcooked. And at this time, the service was not the best. Not sure if something had happened, or it was because the restaurant was full, but the host looked stressed and unattended. The host, Valentina, took my empty wine glass without asking if I would like to have more, without asking how we liked our food, or if we needed more water (the water bottle on the table and glasses were empty), or if we'd like to have a dessert. We sat at the table without any drinks or food for about 20 minutes, and then just gave up. On our first time there, the entire tasting menu was served in 2.5 hours; this time, the table next to us that chose that menu, within 2.5 hours was served just about half the dishes.

The combination of exquisite food, brilliantly and imaginatively matched wines and warm, efficient and knowledgeable service made this an evening to remember and, at €300 for 8 courses, 5 wine pairings and plenty of water, it was excellent value we felt. Surely due a Michelin star? Highly recommend to any visitor to Palermo who loves food - I will certainly return on any future trip to the city!

Extraordinary dining experience. We chose the sea-based set menu. It was like a culinary tour of Sicily with creative combinations of local ingredients. The staff are enthusiastic about sharing their love of food, so while the food and presentation are very high end, the experience is down-to-earth and not stuffy. One of my best meals of the year

The best meal we have had in Palermo. Food was excellent and the service was warm and helpful. The wine list of only Sicilian wines is extensive and reasonably priced.

Very nicely presented food, albeit a bit slow. This is fine dining in an unpretentious setting. Amuse-bouche were a bit on the fried/fatty side. Table bread was good. Wine suggestion was excellent. What left a sour taste was being short changed at the end. The waitress, charming in every way, “forgot” to give me back the substantial change from three 50 euro notes, even though I had tipped handsomely. This was the third time in Palermo in one day this happened, so just check your change every time.

Absolutely amazing experience. I highly recommend tasting menu with wine pairing. I almost never do that but this gives you an opportunity to taste many things on the menu and all of them were absolutely scrumptious. Staff knowledge of wine and food was also impeccable.

Chef is a true artist. We had no clue what most of the dishes on the menu were, so we ordered off the dinner menu instead of the tasting menu. I can’t begin to describe the food and presentations- I can only tell you it’s the best meal I’ve ever “experienced”. We had a free welcome drink and four appetizers (also free) then came our regular appetizer. We let our host decide on the four glasses of wine to serve with each dish. All for under 130 euro. A wonderful, intimate spot for dinner. The set menu was inventive and lovingly explained; never pretentious, simply presented with a genuine passion and enthusiasm for what they do. We enjoyed a relaxing and delicious meal and felt very looked after by a team who clearly love what they do. Highly recommend.

I usually like to order the tasting menu course. The waitress, a short woman with glasses, told my male friend that it was too much I can’t eat all .. and that we should not order it, and ordered just lamb chops. The waitress acted like she was doing the right thing and acting like a professional, but everything was so deep that it was a terrible dinner. The food was very nice and delicious, even the first small portion, but her behavior ruined it all. What a shame.

Probably the best meal we had in Sicily during 11 day trip. Found it by chance near our accommodation, unassuming location and exterior but welcoming service, great menu and wine suggestions. Amazing squid ink ravioli dish, stuffed with grouper fish and ?fennel from memory. Cooked perfectly al dente, just a little chewy to add to the texture and taste. Also one of the tastiest tuna dishes I ever had, almost meaty in flavour, again perfectly cooked with mixed peeper/capsicum sauce.
