8/10Beautiful restaurant unless you get a table next to the toilet, where we were seated. The menu of the day was a decent choice. You should be prepared to spend nearly 3 hours for a 3 course lunch.

6/10We had read a positive review in the Michelin guide and were curious to try the restaurant. Unfortunately we found it lacked flavor and was disappointing. The salad was foamy with sliced carrrots, radish and cucumber that were nothing special and not very flavorful. The ceviche was a mix of flavors and textures that made no sense. We each had a fish: the cod was flavorless and the monk fish more interesting but again not very special. For desert we had an apricot dish that was absolutely undercooked: the fruit was tough when it should have melted, and the ice cream not cold enough. Every dish a disappointment. I have never given such a negative review but I cannot say one good thing about what we ate.

9.5/10The restaurant is located in little venice by the river. We sat by the window and had an excellent view. The interieur is beautiful. We had the easter menu and it was really good. Also the wines were well selected. The only minus was the waiting time between the courses.

8.5/10Very nice meal in pleasant , calm and quaint surroundings in the heart of Colmar . We had the set menu for Easter (warned by email befor what to expect:-) and the chef was able to change the lamb for chicken for my daughter who doesn’t eat lamb.

9/10Hotel has a very beautiful Xmas set-up of polar bears on it's roof. The food was so good it deserves a 5 ???? rating. There was a bit of a wait in between dishes so if you are not in a rush then it's fine. Highly recommended!

9.5/10The overall experience at the L'Echevin was excellent. The food was superior and at a level of quality that we felt was comparable to Michelin one or two star restaurants. The service staff was courteous, efficient and extremely helpful with helping us have an enjoyable evening.

6/10Disappointing with both service and food. Perhaps our expectations were too high. Service, most of the time, was non existent and items we ordered took ages to arrive - water, wine and desert in particular. The waiters might have been dressed well and possibly even trained well, but they were not present. For the money this is not good value.

5/10First the restaurant did not have the reservation we booked through thefork. Only after long discussions and email proof of the reservation were we given a table. My husbands dish was cold and he send it back to the kitchen. When the plate came back everything looked the same only the sauce stuck to the plate - which it usually does when you heat something up in a microwave. The peacake was cut up, the same way my husband left it on the plate, as well as the meat. No high end chef we know - and we have been to many Michelin Star decorated kitchens around the world - would let a plate leave his kitchen like this. Because of the high rating from TripAdvisor we came with high expectations and were extremely disappointed.
