The restaurant sits within a beautifully preserved 17th-century residence in Matino’s historic center, offering an enchanting, historically evocative ambiance. For our appetizer, we shared the Entrée della Locanda, a generous selection featuring crispy fried bites, local cured meats, and artisanal cheeses. For the main course, we opted for Salento-style skewers and a tender slice of horse steak, both expertly grilled to perfection. As a side, we enjoyed a portion of crisp fries. Our meal was accompanied by natural water and a bottle of the house red wine, which complemented the flavors. Every detail, from the warm hospitality to the authentic local cuisine, made for an unforgettable dining experience

Beautiful restaurant decor, home feel, warm welcome, our table right next to the fireplace was the most pleasant surprise given the cold winter temperatures. Traditional kitchen with super good vegetarian dishes. Friendly service and hosts
