The food is very good. This was our second time to this restaurant in as many weeks. The menu was the same but I was able to switch a dish for something I hadn’t tried. Service was slow , but proper.

Exceptional dining experience. The food was amazing, very creative with lots of little surprises and great flavors. They were able to accommodate our pescatarian diet by making some changes in one of the prefix menus. Presentation was fun and very interesting. Friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful surrounding. Highly recommended.

Our second visit at the new location of A Mesa. We managed to get the menu without oysters ( due to allergy). A pity that people may smoke in the terras. That is having a bad influence in our Nice diner expérience.

+7We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and so they provided a decorated table for us which was lovely. The staff were wonderful throughout and were happy to answer any questions about the different courses and the food was incredible. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and he too was very helpful when explaining the dishes. We opted for the main tasting menu and whilst we had favourites all of the courses were beautifully cooked and presented. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Thoroughly enjoyed our night out at A Mesa. Every dish was presented beautifully. Interesting flavors and very creative. Staff were lovely and knowledgeable.

We had a fantastic dinner. Their new premises has a very stylish interior and a lovely enclosed courtyard. We had the Saudade fixed menu with wine pairings. All the food was excellent but the fish course and dessert were particularly good. The service is friendly and efficient and the sommelier is extremely knowledgeable.

Tries too hard with “modern “ techniques rather than let the food do the talking. One guest has an allergy to eggs and either through cross contamination or because egg was in one of the ingredients has an anaphylactic reaction! Not acceptable however egg got into the food when we made it very clear about the allergy.

We recently celebrated a birthday at this restaurant, and the entire experience was absolutely fantastic. The food was nothing short of exceptional - every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. From starters to dessert, everything exceeded our expectations. What truly made the evening unforgettable was the service. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel special from the moment we arrived and took care of every detail with such kindness and professionalism. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of delicious food and outstanding hospitality. We’re so happy we chose this restaurant to celebrate such a meaningful occasion. It created memories we’ll always cherish, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience!

Wonderful place, made us feel very welcome. Food was fabulous, every course was unique and full of flavours! So much thought went in to the presentation of each dish we were blown away by the whole experience!

Excellent experience! Located in decent area, this restaurant offers high-end cuisine that truly stands out. I highly recommend trying it at least once, especially for connoisseurs who appreciate fine dining.

+4The photo is superb, made with a great deal of attention and fantastic ingredients. The staff were very attentive and friendly, they explained the dishes in detail and answered any questions. The biggest downside for me was the amount of time that we had to wait between courses. We arrived at the restaurant at 1pm and left at 3:30pm - I realise it's a culinary experience but it seemed like a long time to have to wait.

So many things made this an experience, and not a dinner. If it was a dinner, it was a dinner like no other! Where to begin? One surprise and delight after another in the food, service, and wine pairings. As visually stunning as it was delicious. Every attention to detail. The oysters were maybe the most favorite. It's impossible to describe how luscious they were.

Incredibly creative , artistic , delicious food . Service was impeccable without being stuffy or overpowering - it was friendly , low key and efficient . The ambience is wonderfully relaxed despite the formality of the food and menu . We got lovely wine recommendations by the glass without having to commit to the full pairing menu . This is a destination restaurant and it is well worth visiting Tavira just to experience A Mesa . We hope to return soon

Service was great. Although it felt like that they where in a hurry. Food came so fast. We barely had finished our wine and the next dish came. Food was good. Wine pairing was ok. Price quality was a bit out of balance. In my opinion too expensive for the experience we had. We came at 8pm and left at 10pm.

We were there on Christmas Eve, and only the tasting menu was available. It was a set package with a certain number of different dishes and wines. The food was flavorful, but each dish was literally the size of a tablespoon. We had to wait a very long time between courses, and it took a total of 4 hours to get through the entire meal. In between, we were served quite a lot of wine, but it was impossible to feel full with those micro-portions, which cost an enormous amount. We came home hungry despite paying €290 for two people. Not recommended!

We did the tasting menu and it is a food experience not a meal. The idea is to introduce you to the top tastes you can encounter by combinations of food and top ingredients. It was superb, the food on a level of it's own and the service thoughtful but relaxed. I so recommend this restaurant.

The whole experience was memorable. Excellent food. The combinations of tastes was very original, but they were all fitting perfectly with each other. Hurrah for the cook. The white wine we took was also amazing, and excellent quality/price ratio. The cherry on the cake was the service. Very professional, attentive and enjoyable. An experience worth repeating and recommendable. We have been in many 1-star Michelin restaurants which are not reaching this standard.

They new premises are very nice, a big step up for the previous location. We enjoyed our evening , food was very good. However one major issue is that we advised that my wife was coeliac (gluten free) when making the booking but the restaurant did not seem to be aware of this or make any consideration which is at least an expectation in a restaurant which professes to high culinary standards.. no gluten free bread was offered which meant that my wife missed out on an entire course and the dessert had a non gluten free biscuit base so she could not eat this. This is really not good enough in my view. It is a pity as otherwise the meal and service were excellent.

We had the small tasting menu which was very nice. For the standard they are aiming for the staff need to be more attentive. For example our menu ended and we were left hanging, it felt like after serving last course shift ended no offer of coffee or digestive until we approached them. You can't just rely on the food it is the whole experience.

fantastic food and quality wine paired with it. we did the largest set menu and enjoyed every course. Michelin standard.
