4.5/10Sadly, not a great experience. The owner seemed a bit put out that we had made a late booking and then told us we only had 53 minutes until the restaurant closed. Around 40 minutes later, our main courses turned up and when we asked what had happened to our starters, he said he had forgotten about them. The main courses were actually quite tasty and it was just a shame the rest of the experience proved to be so disappointing.

7.5/10Service form South African lady was excellent. So good with the kids as well. Lovely atmosphere view amazing. Food really good except for steak. Just wait for steak until you get home and don’t really order it on Portugal. We would return.

8/10I have had this resturant as my Chicken piri piri favorite for many years while living in Portugal. About 5-6 years ago, the resturant changed owner and the service and quality got a little lower. Yesterday we had a chicken piri piri meal at the resturant and the chicken does not have the same great flavor as earlier and the piri piri was a standard strong one and not the quality and taste as I was served years ago im afraid. The service is still good and the resturant is nice and clean with good prices.

Exceptional food and service - we ate our fingers off and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My wife loved the marinated carrot starter & her grilled sole was excellent. I love chicken so went for the house speciality. It's an art to make the perfect piripiri chicken so it's not dry yet have crispy skin: all I can say is Rampa's chef is a consummate artist!

10/10Went there on the day of the Volta ao Algarve. Really wonderful service and great food. Will definitely seek it out again next time I'm in the Algarve.

8/10We had a couple of setbacks, because not all the personnel was available, but we were hosted really well and our family enjoyed the time together in a real cosy setting with an amazing view.

9.5/10We have been coming to A Rampa for over 40 years. Now under new management the chicken peri peri is still as good and the service excellent. It was a Monday and not buzzing as it always was on a Sunday when we usually visited but as we were a party of 9 it didn’t matter. Still the same fabulous view. Would never come to Monchique without visiting Rampa.

10/10We were blown away by the food and service. I took my mum here for her birthday today with my family, the owners and Jenny went above and beyond to make it a special and memorable afternoon. Thank you! I cannot praise this restaurant enough for every aspect. The homemade piri piri chocolate at the end was incredible also!
