6.5/10Frankly not worth the €280 we spent (2 adults, 2 children). The 1.4kg lobster yielded maybe 200gr of meat total for €140. Daughter's tiger prawns (three small specimens) gone in 60 sec... The setting is nice, but the service is not on par with fine dining. Especially from the two male servers. We left hungry and quite disappointed.

10/10This was the absolute best meal we had during our family vacation in Portugal. The seafood was so fresh and deliciously prepared, and the service was friendly and helpful. A long wait was reasonable for how busy the restaurant was, and seeing locals come to dine there is always a good sign. This is not a tourist trap eatery, the fresh seafood offerings will not disappoint. Monkfish, red snapper, cod fish, kids enjoyed shrimp seafood spaghetti. Would return to eat here on the next trip to Portugal!

8.5/10We’ve eaten at Ribeira for the past 4 years that we’ve holidayed in Alvor and the seafood is extremely good We come from a fishing town in Ireland called Kinsale which is the seafood capital in Ireland so we know good quality fish

4.5/10The service was terrible. The food did not come together like we asked. There was a lot of miscommunication with the server and our table. We had to ask for water three times over 40 minutes time. Our table was also late almost an hour and we were treated very rudely. Our food also took a super long time. Did not want to even listen to our remarks and the manager was just waving her hand at the waiter when he was going to talk to her for us. We had to ask for another main dish three times. Overall horrible experience.

8.5/10The halibut fish was simply prepared and delicious although a bit salty. The sides of salad and baked new potatoes were simp)e and a fine accompaniment. The service was friendly although they screwed up our order and left us sitting forb45 minutes. Fortunately it was a beautiful sunset and we loved the ambience on the terrace. We didn't love the wine they served from Algarve, but I asked for it.

6/10This is a lovely restaurant in a nice location. The fresh fish can be expensive if you don’t choose carefully but it is well presented. Unfortunately my food was not good and I had to send it back. The staff were initially confrontational but to be fair, they did not charge me. My wife’s food was good.

10/10We come here every year on our holidays from Scotland to get a long late lunch in the sunshine, and it is always a treat. Utterly delicious seafood sitting by the water, not a tourist trap, just great fresh fish cooked perfectly, beautiful sides and wine. Great price point for what you get. The tuna steak is incredible!

10/10Excellent primarily fresh seafood restaurant with amazing sunset views, attentive helpful staff and a wide choice of fish, shellfish and specialities. Of particular mention are the Cataplana dishes, cockles, tuna pate and they also do a great steak
