This is one of the most inventive, well-run, beautifully managed -- and utterly delicious -- seafood restaurants in the world. Daniele Lippi is a master chef who balances imagination, refinement, and superb ingredients, while the staff keeps the train running swiftly, with perfect timing and composure. We have now eaten there three times, and Acquolina keeps getting better each time.

An Unforgettable Evening at Acquolina!!! We had the pleasure of experiencing an extraordinary evening at the 2-star Michelin restaurant Acquolina. The food was a true masterpiece – innovative, creative, and crafted with impeccable skill. Each of the nine courses was a small work of art, impressing not only with its flavors but also with its stunning presentation. The service was outstanding, attentive, and took the time to explain the preparation and concept behind each dish in detail. A special highlight was the perfectly paired wine accompaniment – surprising, diverse, and flawlessly matched to the courses. Having already enjoyed an evening at another Michelin-starred restaurant in Rome, this evening at Acquolina exceeded all of our expectations. For us, it’s simply the best restaurant in Rome – an absolute must for any food lover! A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for this unique experience!

The flavors of the food were amazing, in line with the chef's vision. The travel around the Mediterranean Sea, flavors from around coastal and inland were a delightful experience for the palette. every dish exceeded the one prior.

we were seated at a 4 person table in the middle of the room even though we were 2 some waiters seemed unproffessional, whispering to eachother half of the food was not very good, maybe some people could appreciate it, we did not

Fish with rice. The fish flavor was overbearing. For us it did not work with other courses. Ruined the rest of the dinner for us. If we had ordered the 6 course dinner it would have avoided the fish with rice course and probably more suitable for our pallet.

Food was not two star level. There was nothing that stood apart and surprised by being BOTH special AND good tasting. Practically everything was too salty, making it challenging to taste the otherwise great ingredients. Everything else was great EXCEPT the food. I would not have given this one or two stars, except for the service. Clear sign: No table was speaking Italian. So locals already knew

It was an unforgettable experience! We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The meal was outstanding, and every flavor was an extraordinary explosion in our taste buds! The service was outstanding! If you are like and love to travel and try the best restaurants in the world, Acquolina is a great choice!

The chef really pushes the boundaries with flavour, white asparagus ice cream and black garlic desserts just to name a few! Service was impeccable and very attentive. Atmosphere was nice, quite formal but relaxed at the same time. Stand out courses were the snacks, sweetbread and pigeon. Overall a fantastic meal!

+3It started very well. But it quickly went down after the bad pastas. I think by trying to make something too different they ended up mixing too much ingredients and things and I actually felt ill afterwards. That’s definitely something you don’t want after paying for such a pricey meal.

Top notch, 5+++ rating for Aquolina for us. Impeccable food and service. The 7 course seafood tasting menu was breath-taking - and the thoughtful additional supplements that kept coming were lovely interludes. The cocktails were innovative and bold (I've never had an anchovy flavoured drink ever and it was yum!) and the service was peerless to a fault. All in all - our last meal in Italy was our best in a long, long while!

A few tables with privacy. The lighting is both intimate and clear. Perfect service, divine food and wine paring. Creative, unexpected, beautiful, all of us left having spend a marvellous and unforgettable evening. Will go back, inviting along people that can appreciate sophistication.

Acquolina was truly an amazing experience with some standout dishes like their Chickpea Langoustine Pasta and the Lentil Mont Blanc. The true star for me though was their selection of bread served with a garum butter. The portion sizes as well are much larger compared to other Michelin restaurants, so you can easily be filled up by the end of dinner. Overall, Acquolina is a really good and I want to thank the whole staff for taking such great care of us, especially Carlos.

We have been to a few Michelin restaurants, but this one was without a doubt our favourite so far. From the quality, creativity, and taste of the food to the service and details like choice of cutlery and music, everything was just wonderful. The filled pasta with crispy eel was our favourite. If we are in Rome again, we will return!

The room was modern and elegant and they acknowledge our anniversary and gave us a special table. The device was impeccable. The word no didn’t exist. The food was everything and more you would expect from a Michelin restaurant. The chef’s welcome bites were amazing flavor “bombs” bravo and the tasting menu was creative, delicious and really well composed. We had a great evening Thank you ????????

We have enjoyed a memorable dinner by Acquolina. All staffs are polite and professional. We have choice both tasting menu with wine pairing. The food is excellence and wine is precisely selected to suit. If we really need to add any comments, I will say the portion could be a little bit big for aged people like us although the staffs has reminded us and suggested we may not need to clear off every dishes. However, who can stop?

This is a truly outstanding restaurant. The good is complex and at the same time wonderfully enjoyable. The staff is extremely professional. They establish the perfect balance of friendliness, availability and seriousness. I can't wait to go back!

We had one of the great experiences at a restaurant ever. From the service, to the wine choices, canapes right through to Petit fours. Each dish was what you would expect from a high calibre restaurant. Thanks you so much

We had an exceptionally great time at Acquolina. The service was excellent, our waiter was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and the dishes were all beautiful and held many surprises. Given the creative nature of the dishes, some of them were wonderful, pleasant surprises, but some others were not my personal cup of tea. Even so, food presentation and taste-wise, our course deserves at least a 98/100. For the last two points (for me personally), the tiny strawberries in the kefir dish needed to be a little fresher and/or less bruised and the wonderful homemade bread needed to drop less crumbs/bread flakes when broken (maybe an impossible task or not even a real critique, but I felt guilty making a mess of bread-crumb confetti that my waiter had to clean up every time I ripped a pice off of the loaf. I wanted to eat more of it but weighed that against the risk of making a huge mess). The music-instrumental selection was mostly good, but “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” should 100% not be on your playlist. Love the song, but it feels a little out of place with the ambiance of the place.
