I dined at Adour on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th 2024. We were the first diners to sit down in the restaurant for lunch. The service was impeccable, but our server spoke minimal English and I found that the staff were all huddled in the corner talking at many points during the meal. At one point I counted 7 staff members of the restaurant all together. It felt uncomfortable as a diner to see all the staff discussing a matter in the restaurant. It distracted me from my meal. We asked to switch seats because the sun was rather prominent at our table. They were unable to move us to another table, but they did lower the shades which helped.

Food is good. Cocktails are superb! Service is no good; long waiting to start (for water and cocktails), for food to serve, and the longest was to wait for the wine menu (instead given a barcode to scan which we think a carte would be nicer as internet connection is weak) and to get someone to advise pairing which first course already started with no drinks. The bottle of water and wine were placed on the side no serving nor easy to reach. Waiter was bumping plate on guest shoulder. Serving one dish after another took long time. No clear introduction on the dishes. We were all guessing what was on the plate. Last dish no option of cheese plate just cakes. To get the bill after few reminders waited again long time at table, we stood up went to the bar standing there no attention till the lady in charge available got us the bill. The total wine&dine lasted more than 4hours. We had 4 courses meal for 95€ each person with few cocktails no pairing and a bottle of wine; food is worth it, ambience is nice however service should be better. An honor evening to meet Monsieur Ducasse after being to his restaurants in the world including Singapore, Japan, London, US, etc. Will continue to support you for the exquisite food!
