8/10Interesting, creative cooking that is seafood & vegetable forward in the 8 course tasting menu. The mushroom course and the risotto were standouts, as was the sea bass. Others were good, but not quite cohesive ( oysters were overpowered by coconut milk broth, but still a nice enough dish). I would order from the a la carte menu next time ( up to 12 choices, and the only course I would skip is the braised lettuce in a light mayonnaise— while my husband liked it, I thought it was the only dish that missed).

4/10Food is terrible. Worst ever. The chef has no idea what he/she is doing other than putting bunch of super salty sauce with all kinds of herb/spice. The so called panna cotta with green pea was the worst - making is feel vomiting. No wonder no customers other than two tables of tourists. Service was okay but they were rushing and pushing customers to finish as quick as possible. Definitely not recommended.

9.5/10Very innovative and creative. I don‘t expect to meet such place in Rome. It is just near Piazza del Popolo, but behind the Tibre, not in touristic area. Very small and simple, but tastes are interesting and complicated. Moderate in prices. Can highly recommend!

10/10+6Excellent cuisine and wine pairing. Especially the viognier and “orange”. We have tried the 12 course menu and 10 wine pairings. Definitely Michelin star quality dishes. You will not regret.

10/10This is a fantastic restaurant! Very small but every detail is meticulously overseen by the chefs. I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed the dining experience. We have never tasted anything like the flavors we had tonight. Such a beautiful experience and u can’t wait to do it again. Run, don’t walk.

10/10An exceptional and outstanding restaurant, but only for those with adventurous palates, as the dinner menu is mainly influenced by northern European flavors, which the chef skillfully combines with fresh, top quality Italian ingredients. (The lunch menu consists of more typical Italian and Roman dishes.) The evening menu requires diners to choose a minimum of four small plates, which are preceded by a stream of delicious amuses-bouches (appetizers) that are generously offered by the house. Federico, in charge up front, provides plenty of helpful information and suggestions regarding dish preparation and selection, as well as wine pairing. The dining area, while small, is tastefully decorated in white, minimalist style.

10/10We had a very early reservation (by Italian standards, so we were the only people in the restaurant for at least the first ¾ of our time there. The owner and head chef spent the entire evening with us and explained everything and talked with us as we dined. That’s not to say he interfered with our romantic evening—we had plenty of alone time with each other after he would serve a course and discuss it with us. We loved the personal attention and the restaurant’s attention to details and quality. Great food and wine pairings! We highly recommend!!!

8.5/10Food was very fresh, interesting and tasty. Cute small place with knowledgable friendly staff. It was raining and we were the only ones there with our baby so that was a little odd experience but it wa still nice

10/10Wonderful find a bit off the beaten path. The innovative cuisine combined with very attentive but not stuffy service made this restaurant stand out as a top spot on our trip to Rome. I have Celiac and they could not have been more attentive to my food allergies. It made me realize how far behind we are in the U.S. when it comes to accommodating food allergies. Furthermore, we ran into a time crunch (completely my fault) and the server was able to adjust our meal accordingly. We truly did not want to leave before dessert and I feel horrible that we did but greatly appreciate the flexibility.

8/10Business dinner with my lawyer. Food is a pleasure and a voyage in taste and preparation. You have a view on the kitchen from the street, really cool. Chef is in the service room explaining dishes and techniques. Unfortunately the host lost a big slice of the service bringing the bill to the table and it had not been asked, very rude indeed. We got offered a glass of courtesy for excusing for this, but it remains that it is very un professional in a restaurant looking for Michelin star quality.

8/10It's great to find a place like this in Rome. Sure, pasta and pizza are delicious, but having lived here for 4 years, I crave 'world' food. Aede is creative, stylish and you can tell the Chef is passionate about what they are producing.
