10/10We had Florentine steak at this restaurant which is recommended by our airbnb host. I am glad we went and enjoyed the food and service. It is very good and I love how the owner is very attentive with his customers. The steak is very tasty and it tastes like it melts into your mouth. Would recommend! :)

10/10Loved everything about this place— the food, the service (graciously interpreting the Italian menu for us Americans), and the overall feel of it (friendly, warm, etc.). Totally worth it if you’re looking for a great, traditional Florentine meal!

10/10The food is delicious - the steak is very unique. I especially like the service. The menu is all Italian. We were using Google translate to figure things out. The owner kindly recommended the right portion mixture to us when she thought we ordered too much for 3 person.

2/10Skip this place, give your money to a worthy establishment. Owner responded to initial review with outright comical lies to cover their atrocious service after a tiny joke of a man was beyond rude about my order. Bring the paying customer what they order, period. Nobody cares about your opinion but I’m happy to voice mine about a lackluster restaurant, spend your money at the thousands of other superior restaurants within walking distance.

Buongiorno signor dimitrus, è la prima recensione che riceviamo con il suo nome, quindi non abbiamo mai risposto con bugie. Io titolare quel giorno non c’ero, quindi in nessun modo posso averla risposta o servita. Comunque detto tutto ciò, io conosco molto bene i miei collaboratori che in primis sono super educati e quindi mai si permetterebbero di far battute, e inoltre sono molto bravi nel spiegare il nostro menù sia in italiano che in inglese. Ora per aver migliore delucidazioni, e capire cosa le ha creato tutto questo fastidio ci può elencare cos’ha ordinato che non era come aveva chiesto? Cosa le ha dato fastidio?? Il nostro menù è corto, ed è volutamente così, per far assaporare i piatti della tradizione culinaria Toscana. Io mi auguro che non le abbiano creato problemi i prezzi, perché se per voi erano già alti bastava andar via senza consumare, oppure non è che ha chiesto la carne media o ben cotta?? Perché la mia cucina che sia un filetto, una tagliata o una bistecca la serviamo solo al sangue.

6/10The staff was smoking just next to the entrance and I was forced to have my dish with cigarette smell while I’m not smoker… It wasn’t a good experience of having a typical Florentine dish.

10/10We enjoyed our dinner here which we booked at the last minute. The tomato burrata and crudo melone were wonderful antipasti as the tomatoes were ripened off the vine. The primi and secondi were also tasty, especially the tagliatelli truffle dish. Service was fantastic—they seemed as though they really cared that we enjoyed our meal. And, we did! We will be back.

9.5/10My husband and I went here after a solid recommendation from our tour guide ealier in the day. It was our first trip to Italy from the U.S. We were seated at a nice table outside. The atmosphere was so laid back and relaxing. We knew we had to try the Bistecca Fiorentina so we went from there. Our server presented the steak uncooked for our approval and wow!! We started with a nice, light. Fresh mozzarella and tomato plate..just great! The Bistecca came next and was prepared perfectly for us (medium rare leaning toward rare). It was served with roasted potatoes and veg..fantastic! The service was very kind and helpful as we stumbled over the Italian descriptions. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

9.5/10Small place with waiter doing efforts to talk English Also, restaurant is applying the 20% reduction OFF the bill with no need to ask, while many other restaurants do not want to apply it. Food was very good ... a place to try when couple of days in Florence

10/10Great restaurant for florentine steak from two hard working guys. One runs the meat counter/ cashier. The other is the main waiter but they help each other out. It was great to see that they try to maximize efficiency without losing customer service. I also liked how they were very honest with me and ordering portion. We were going to order 3 mains (Florentine steak and pasta and maybe antipasta) but our server was very honest and serious about the portion of the meat. And he was right! JUST ORDER THE FLORENTINE STEAK AND THAT IS IT. you’ll be stuffed for two!! It was cooked to perfection. Served medium rare by default, no adjustment. I thought this would be a problem as rawr meat tends to intimidate me but honestly it was sooo good being medium rare only. Juicy, tender, and balanced. The side roasted herb potatoes were delicious as well ! We also got a wine bottle bc pricing was very reasonable. Overall highly recommend! We would definitely come back!!

10/10We enjoyed two amazing pasta dishes (carbonara and tagliatelle), the polpette blew us away, and the filetto was quite rare but that's to be expected. Our waitress was so kind and accommodating.

10/10Welcoming service and delicious food. The carbanora was superb. It was better than I’ve had from more expensive restaurants in Rome. If I could critique one thing it’s that the bread is very stale, but hey, who goes for bread?

2/10We were placed at a table at the back of the restaurant (although there were other tables available) near the restrooms. The bad smell was awful. After a short while, we asked for another table and we were offered one. The food was terrible. We both ordered: beef steak (contre fillet) with grilled vegetables. They only cook steaks rare. So the meat was raw inside and mine was very stingy, I couldn't eat 1/3 of it. The grilled vegetables were 2 pieces of zucchini and 2 pieces of eggplant. And this was a 34€ dish!!! I would not recommend this restaurant.

10/10Lovely little place with the most amazing florentine steak. The waiters were helpful with recommendations and wine pairings to hand. Atmosphere was lovely and bustley. Steak is cooked how it should be (blue/rare) so if this isn’t to your taste maybe try the pasta (which looked equally delicious). Felt really traditional and really wow ! Great prices too

thank you very much for the review, but we deliberately do not use cast iron or anything like that, because otherwise the cooking is carried out and the meat is boiled or overcooked and then it is harder, and therefore the maturation no longer makes its sense.

10/10My friend and I ordered a tagliatelle al ragù contadino, burger di manzo scottona and tagliata di controfillet(200gr), 2 glasses of chianti, and for dessert we had a chocolate lavacake and caramel pudding. With the 40% discount it’s app€55 so it’s rly good! All the steaks are raw and only the burger can be cooked till medium/well-done. Burger is the burger patty, it’s good but it’s a little too salty given tht it comes by itself and not the usual burger with the burger bread. Steak is just nice, dessert are okay, the lava cake is better than caramel pudding. The bread that they gave at the side is a quite stale. Overall rly good chill vibes

10/10Great cold cuts and cheese. Even better Florentina steak. Wine taste good. Amazing service. My kids had the chocolate cake/tart for dessert and both were fighting for the last bite. Cute little place with amazing service. My family enjoyed it on our first night in Florence. It is also in the quiet part of duomo.
