This is the right place for typical Roman food, never disappoint and always welcoming atmosphere. Though always do reservation for quarantee visit

The waiter was very helpful, the restaurant lovely, and the standard coda vaccinara very good, some other fritti greasy.

Food was great, no doubt about that. But service was way too slow. 15 minutes to be seated (we booked) Waited 30 minutes for our drinks. 50 for our first starter, and the other was forgotten about. Just a little but of communication from staff would have reassured us that we weren't forgotten about...instead, we had to repeatedly ask what was happening. Appreciate it's a little busy but it wasnt anything crazy, and staff were very friendly, but once again, communication is key!

Very tasty food, which was served with no hurry. They leave you time for thinking, talking, drinking and smiling. And then comes it! Pastas? Perfect! Local wine? Great companion to many dishes! I’d recommend it even for your last supper in Rome!

This restaurant was recommended by our B&B for authentic Roma style cuisine. I had the La carbonara and my wife had the Il cacio e pepe. Both were excellent pasta dishes. The service was very good. The servers all seemed to help one another out. It was quiet with a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

We really enjoied the dinner @ Ai Balestrari Porta Pia. The Antipasti Ai Balestrieri with suppli’, bruschette and pumpkin fried flowers was superb as well the tagliere of salumi and cheeses. We liked also the pasta carbonara, grecia and cacio e pepe. The waiters were friendly and professional. We recommend this restaurant and we will go back again in the near future.

Nice setting, not for crowded reunions of friends (good!). I would have appreciated a wider availability of choices from the Roman cousine (come were missing).
