We had this on our list of places to go while in Venice. So glad that we did. The food was perfect and the pasta was filling but not heavy. The lightness of the seafood and the flavor of the sauce was a perfect blend. Do yourself a favor and make sure to stop here and get some dinner. Great atmosphere and great staff.

We had a lovely dinner at Al Conte Pescaor. The place is adorable, with a charming outdoor area, located within 5 min walk from San Marco Piazza. We enjoyed our dinner, tried a number of fish/seafood dishes, all fresh catch and super-tasty. Our waiter was wonderful, and his recommendations were priceless. Wine selection was impressive, and prices were very reasonable. And our dessert Semifreddi (recommended by our waiter) was jut outstanding. Thank you Al Conte Pescaor for our amazing dinner!

Service was super slow and inattentive even though there were only 2 or 3 other tables populated that night. The food was average at best, my steak in mushroom sauce (which I asked for medium rare) was medium to well done and seemed to have been boiled. Honestly probably the worst steak I’ve ever had in a restaurant.

This was our 2nd visit to this lovely restaurant since our last one 2 years ago. Once again, we were amazed by all foods we tried. Very sophisticated and tasty. Being Japanese, we are used to good seafoods, but the seafoods at this restaurant keep surprising us. We are sure we will come back again.

We were so disappointed this year - we had been to Al Conte Pescaor last summer and it was fabulous, but this year it just wasn’t worth it, the fish was good but the dishes we ordered weren’t what we had remembered. It took 1.5 hours for them to cook our fish (it was a very thin fish), and then when they served it the plates were cold so by the time they gave us the fish on the plates the fish was also cold. We had been so excited to go back and introduce our friends to this restaurant but it was unfortunately a disappointment.

We booked this restaurant to celebrate a special birthday and it was truly fabulous. We were warmly greeted and well looked after for the 4 hours we spent there! The food was excellent - beautifully presented platter of mixed seafood to start, then sea bass filleted at the table, light pillowy gnocchi, sea bass ravioli, spaghetti with clams and fillet steak in green peppercorn sauce - all very good. Wine was delicious and out the 4 restaurants we tried, this was the only one placing the wine bottle in an ice bucket. The service was impeccable and we enjoyed a playful banter with the owner and staff all evening. Could not fault it.

This restaurant was incredible! The night we went it was raining, but we sat outside along the walk way and what a fabulous dinner we had! We took the suggestion of our waiter and had the fish assortment for 2, wow...how incredible delicious and unique the dinner was❣️Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. keep up the lovely hospitality.

We were there 3 times during our 5th vacation in Venice, simply because it looks, feels and taste authentic. + this is family run restaurant for decades, which for us mean a lot. Definitely will come next time.

The restaurant was fantastic in all respects. Excellent food (especially the pastas and fish), the service was very personable, and the atmosphere was very authentic as opposed to the touristy feel of so many places. It was such a delicious and welcoming restaurant.

I have been eating at Al Conte Pescaor for over ten years. The owner is always present as Maitre D and he takes real pride in his restaurant. It's a real pleasure to eat here - A genuinely good restaurant with old fashioned service standards and excellent seafood, used by locals and tourists alike.

Very nice dining experience. Nice, cosy ambiance. Food was excellent. We had the grilled fish platter for two, which was prepared at our table. Owner/staff are very friendly, helpful and considerate. Abundant choice of wine. Very much recommended!

Fantastic for traditional Venetian cuisine including lots of seafood. My family and I had the best time here for our last dinner in Venice.

Highest mark of approval: thr locals lunch out in the place. Small and cosy and you do not have the feeling of being pulled over the table. Worth a try and beeing kept in mind for a rerepeat visir.

Fresh fresh fresh fish. Razor clams and John Dory outstanding. Like having your favorite uncle cook and serve dinner for you. Treated these non Italian speakers quite gently.

The staff made us very welcome and feel special. Our food was delicious and the fish of the day was perfectly cooked and they recommended a lovely bottle of white wine and then even gave us an extra glass on the house. We would highly recommend it and thanks for a lovely evening on our first night in Venice. We will return x

Every time I come to Venice I definitely want to eat spaghetti al vongole at "Al conte pescaor". Simply the best!!! Excellent wine too! And those who work there are extremely kind!!!

Despite having a reservation, the waitress, with an unpleasant expression, did not assign us a table until an older man, who seemed to be the manager, came and seated us. Our group included two children, aged 9 and 10, making us a party of four. We were given a very cramped table, with a food delivery stroller blocking the way. When we asked how we were supposed to sit there, the response was to sit one, two, three, four in order. Other waitstaff were visibly embarrassed and unsure how to handle the situation. Seeing many spacious and comfortable tables available, we expressed our disbelief, and the manager eventually moved us to a different table. We were very displeased but refrained from causing a scene because of the children. When we ordered food for four adults, the attitude of the waitress and manager changed, leaving us with a bitter feeling. It seems this restaurant was once a Michelin Guide-listed establishment, but it is now clear why it has declined in quality.

I read about this restaurant online and booked it before we came to Venice. It’s a little off the beaten path, but close to where we stayed (H10). Every table spoke Italian except ours (the Americans!) Our waiter (maybe owner?) was patient, funny, and steered us towards an excellent dining experience! I would definitely recommend and go back again.
