10/10Traditional lebanese restaurant in the heart of Eaux-Vives. Excellent fresh homemade food with a lot of flavours. I strongly recommend this adress. Excellent money value. 5 star recommendations

10/10Not my first or last time at Al-Dar :) this time I had to eat gluten, dairy and egg free due to health reasons and they were super understanding and accommodating (for example they brought me lettuce leaves to dip in the hummus instead of pita). Service was also great and with a smile - always super appreciated :)

7.5/10My parents and I shared four dishes, pitta bread and house wine and tap water for 25SF/person. The food was really delicious and we enjoyed the meal. I'm not so happy with paying 3SF for the tap water. I think it would be nice if that was waived if you also order wine. It was a warm evening so we sat outside, which is on the pavement next to a rather noisy road. This was the only negative, which is not the fault of the restaurant. It's just the reality of its location.

8/10Had a good night here. Nice food and friendly service. They didn’t however apply the discount that was offered on the items that qualified for it. I called up and they did apologise and offered a refund on the items. But that’s left a bad feeling with me. I don’t like to be tricked or feel to have been had over.

4.5/10I was very disappointed with my dinner experience for four main reasons: (1) When we ordered our dishes, the server told us that the 30% discount would only apply if each person in our party ordered a main dish and either an appetizer or dessert. This is in direct contradiction with the information available on thefork.com: "-30% off the 'à la carte' menu". We felt tricked by the restaurant and website. (2) Although the moutabal was very good, the shawarma was very bad. It was dry and burnt. It was the worst shawarma I have ever had. (3) At the end of our dinner, there was no one to bring our bill. We waited for a while, but there was no server or other person from the restaurant in the dining room. I had to walk into the kitchen and talk to the cook. (4) The restaurant charged us the equivalent of US$ 6 for tap water. In summary, very disappointing first experience with thefork.com and Al Dar Restaurant.

8/10Classic Lebanese restaurant with the traditional dishes you would expect, served in good-sized portions and quality ingredients. Remarkable atmosphere with attention paid to details in the decoration, particularly the beautiful marqueterie tables. Friendly and efficient waiter, whom however had the strange habit of abandoning us in the middle of an order (did this twice). He should realize even if the phone rings or his boss calls, it is rude to leave a client speaking to the open air. Overall good value and we will return. Should the waiter not learn his profession we will simply not tip him once more.
