5/10Central location in San Marco district. Large restaurant catering largely for tourists employing menu with pictures, in-house accordian and singers to serenade the customers. Water placed on table without asking and then billed for. Food is average at best with additional 'on-the-house' extra like bread and desserts. Overall quite expensive for what you get and not of good quality. Ultimately the (free) extras are hidden with the costs of mains and drinks. Didn't return. Many alternatives.

5/10Felt very rushed to eat the food. Plate removed within seconds of finishing and even when we hadn’t finished!!!! Felt very under pressure. There was only 2 others in the restaurant but they must of overbooked after us so wanted us out.

2/10The staff were rude & attempted to rush us to order less than 5 minutes of sitting, than told us there are people waiting for tables (which there were not ). We walked out. Very rude staff. Would definitely not recommend going if you’re looking for an enjoyable experience.

Service was absolutely horrible!!!! i asked for a glass of white wine whhen we ordered. 20 minutes later we got our food and i had to flag down the waiter to remind him about the wine. I had to ask 3 times for cheese for my son's pasta. My husband was still eating his meal when one waitress brought us the desert menu and another brought us our bill within seconds of each other. So we didn't even get a chance to order desert. I've never seen a restaurant rush people out so fast!!! I would not recommend this place!!!

2/10Not traditional at all, they butter people up at the end of their meal with “free” dessert and dessert shots to leave a review, hence all the GREAT reviews. Scammers at their finest.

4/10The restaurant was so highly rated on social media but we were so disappointed with the service and the meal. Our waiter Basel had a very poor attitude and provided the worst service. He got our appetizer order wrong as well as my filet with no apologies. When we asked for the bill he said it was coming but 20 minutes later we had to go across the alley to pay. The rest of the staff was very nice and confused by his behavior. We made a reservation and we were really looking forward to something special. Sadly our experience was disappointing.

3.5/10If you’re looking for an authentic Italian meal, this is not the restaurant you want. My gnocchi did not taste homemade, and in the four cheese sauce was stodgy. (My husband called it macaroni and cheese.) The atmosphere was chaotic due to the kitchen being in another building, and we felt rushed. I cannot recommend.

10/10We enjoyed a fantastic and very memorable meal, quirky italian waiters (you'll warm up to them). Our vegetable risotto was delicious for anyone not up to seafood (I'm not used to seafood, I grew up in the desert). But every other table having seafood was saying great things. You'll have a great meal, but if you're hungry, make that reservation, they are fast but busy and it's a small restaurant.

10/10We sampled many items on the menu and each were delicious and fresh. Octopus, fried calamari, pasta with spider crab, and branzino were all equally wonderful. The service was attentive and the complimentary gnocchi and desert was a great touch!

9.5/10The restaurant has two salons on the same street opposite each other. We entered the smaller salon without knowing it, which was implicitly even more crowded... I think I would have liked it more in the bigger salon! The food was exceptional, as was the rosé wine ordered. I can't say that I appreciated the work session held behind me by the owner with the waiters in the location! I have read in other reviews that the boss is noisy, but maybe he will understand that the organizational meetings are held outside the program hours! A special mention for the waiter from Croatia who served us. Unfortunately, I didn't remember his name, but he certainly contributed to a very pleasant lunch!

5/10Unfortunately, this restaurant was a disappointment. From the moment we sat down, we were rushed into ordering. They gave us very little time to look at the menu, so we didn’t bother with appetizers. The food was not up to par with the reviews we read. I asked for a dry white Sauvignon bland, but the white wine they gave me was anything but that quality. It was almost as if they brought me whatever white wine was open at the time. It seemed to be a popular restaurant, as there were people waiting to get in. I ordered cacio and Pepe with scampi and it was dry and did not have much flavor - I’ve had better in the states. This one is off our list.

7.5/10Al Gazzentino is a popular place and we found booking ahead for peak service time was useful. Others guests had to wait a while. Excellent shared seafood platter, and the evening “special”, Osso Bucco was authentic. Service was friendly and efficient. We would certainly visit again.

6.5/10The food was good at this restaurant but the service was not ! We were so rushed … it was something we haven’t experienced in Venice . We were pressured to order immediately and they brought the bill quickly. Rashel was the server . And automatic gratuity was added. Avoid this place as many others have ambience, good food and good service .

8.5/10Not the easiest place to find, but definitely worth the effort! The staff were extremely friendly and gave us sangria to drink while we waited for our table. They also gave us a complimentary appetizer and dessert. There were even two singers in the restaurant (one with an accordion.) which made for a very lively night.

5/10The service was the worst I've ever experienced. They want you in and out as fast as possible and aren't afraid of showing it. The waiter was very annoyed when he came to take our order after looking at the menu for 2 minutes and we were not ready yet. The food was mediocre, nothing special. They claim the pasta is home made but my gnocchi were definitely from a package. Three different people came around to take away one of our party's plates when he clearly wasn't finished. They brought around a couple of free tasters in order to get a good review. They actually brought some grappa shots with the google review QR code shoved in between the glasses. If you don't mind mediocre food and want to be bribed with a couple of freebies then this is the place for you otherwise take your business elsewhere where you may get a nice greeting and you won't be pushed out the door the second you finish your last bite.

8.5/10Very attentive service and an entertaining environment. The food is very good, we enjoyed our dinner, it is typical Italian cuisine, there is something for everyone on the menu. The gnocchi in pesto was excellent, for example. We sampled a fish dish which was good but not memorable, I would stick with the pastas an maybe the mussels, which looked very good at our neighbour's table. Complimentary light dessert was a nice surprise.
