10/10Everything perfect!!! The staff was something else , Mauro was so kind ! And the food the best I have eaten in Rome so far! We ordered a carbonara and caccio e peppe… SO GOOD ANS TASTY! I wish I can come back again to this amazing restaurant. Compliments for the chef!

9.5/10The food was incredible, especially the homemade pasta specials (I had muscles with tagliatelle). The garden is a cute atmosphere as well. Note they do not open for dinner until 7:30pm! We walked by at 7:20pm and thought it was closed at first! But once greeted, the service was excellent as well.

10/10The food, service and ambiance were all excellent and exceeded our expectations. We sat in the garden which was lovely. The wine was delicious and the prosciutto and melon appetizer was also so tasty. Our server was attentive and nice, recommending dishes during our dinner. Couldn’t have asked for a better dinner to end our stay in Rome. We will be back!

9.5/10A wonderfully relaxed eating experience, with amazing food and good service. The place was very busy, but the quality of the food was exceptional. Highly recommended for traditional Roman food.

10/10Classical Roman restaurant. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful old-skool waiter. Plenty of locals come to eat there with their nonnos and nonnas.

9.5/10This restaurant was a great find. We were looking for something authentic, away from the touristy areas, with great food at good prices. We definitely found it at Al Giardino. Excellent service, casual but elegant atmosphere, and savory dishes at hard to beat prices in the area. Highly recommend the tiramisu and panna cotta (caramel was deliciously sweet) after the meal. All around great dining experience during our stay in Rome.

8.5/10I was there with my sons, we had a really nice evening with good food and traditional roman dishes that you do not often find...especially in those that pretend to be "typical roman" restaurants. However the price is 40€ each for the dinner (all included)

10/10Authentic Roman dishes and top notch service! Mauro provided excellent service and great recommendations for local dishes. The pasta is fresh and the seconds are portioned perfectly. Mauro was very thoughtful and deboned my wife's sea bass before serving to make it easier for her to eat. All of the food was delicious and we even were given limoncello on the house at the end of our meal. The outdoor patio is free of distractions from the streets and provided a cozy experience. I highly recommend any of the pasta dishes, the tiramisu, and everything Mauro recommends!

10/10This is our second time at Al Giardino del Gatto e la Volpe. This is a wonderful, family owned and run restaurant. We always feel very welcome. The service is excellent, everyone is incredibly kind and the food is terrific. So far we've enjoyed the risotto, the sea bream, and the eggplant starter. We are looking forward to going back to try more!

10/10The restaurant has a hidden interior garden, very spacious. The service is very welcoming, we felt well taken care of. Many locals, I think we were the only tourists. Food was very good and also wines and deserts and the prices were very decent compared to other restaurants. Received limoncelo from the house. I would have come back, but this was our last night in Rome. Totally recommend!!

10/10We visited this restaurant on our last night in Rome, per the recommendation of a friend who recently visited as well and highly recommended it. We were astounded! Every single dish was delicious. The truffle gnocchi was the best gnocchi we’ve ever had and the best dish we’ve had in Rome. We loved the potato croquettes and fried zucchini flowers as appetizers. The house white wine was great and lived up to the reviews. The tiramisu and espresso made for a fantastic dessert. The garden ambiance made for the perfect evening, as well as our amiable server Mauro. We are so glad we spent our last evening in Rome here!

10/10This restaurant was a great find. The garden ambiance was just perfect on a hot night. Very relaxing. The food was amazing. We had the carbonara and the truffle gnocchi. Both were homemade and obviously made with love. And the service was outstanding. This is the restaurant to go to in Rome.

10/10A local community restaurant serving totally authentic Roman food with an extensive wine list, to many local families who obviously eat here regularly. Family-run and over a few days we saw everything from a young children’s birthday party night, to an older generation Birthday night and everyone in-between. Great fried local delights for antipasto including suppli and stuffed zucchini flowers, a great mixed meat board, varied focaccia and more. Pizzas were every bit as good as “Bonci” up the road, but very thin and crispy with just the right amount of “sear”, shall we call it? Beautiful simple toppings, my favourites mozzarella/Fiori di zucchini é alici and also chicoria with salsiccia. I normally move around restaurants but we loved it so much we ate there 3 days and still have more of the menu to sample! So much good pasta and excellent polpo, orata and steaks/chops. And great value. I normally visit many different restaurants when touring. But I liked it so much, we didn’t go anywhere else.

10/10We were given excellent service and food from our waiter, Mauro! He was patient with us as we practiced our Italian, brought us what we asked for right away and was very attentive. Before coming to Italy, I had read that good service was hard to come by and customers were often ignored. This restaurant seemed to have their act together and their waiters defied our expectations. Thanks again for a lovely time and yummy food!

10/10The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing! Our waiter Frederico was informative and great at helping us navigate the menu with his suggestions. It was an amazing evening! The house wine was delicious as well. He also brought each of us a shot of limoncello on the house with our desserts. It was total perfection!

10/10The service was really fine, and the team very nice and helpful, the dishes excellent. We all live in Rome and appreciated a lot. Only moderate for the "noise level" and "correct" for the "waiting time", but for a Saturday evening, it was quite normal to have a full room and to be in a festive atmosphere. I will definitely come back.
