Tucked away from the heavy foot traffic of the city center is Al Giardino. Our server was attentive without being a distraction. The portions were perfectly sized and seasoned. The overall experience was a perfect vacation dining experience.

The meal was okay. We liked the swordfish rolls the most. We did not like the walk there from Main Street in town as it was down part of the mountain. Walking back up was not fun for us. Understaffed, service was slow. Discount not honored.

Great service. Good was delicious. My husband had minestrone- excellent, then he had mussels- loved them - wished for more garlic, then chicken Marsala with a side order of caponata- the BESTwe have ever had. I had the ravioli with pistachio cream- different and amazing. House wine- rosso- excellent

We really enjoyed the food - the vegan pasta of the day was especially good. We liked sitting upstairs on the terrace. It was very busy when we arrived and the service suffered a little - not getting our wine until well after our food had arrived.

Been to Al Giardino tonight, and have to say, the food was excellent, the equal or better than many of the other restaurants in town. We’ve been to Taormina 5 times and so have sampled many. The reception, seating and initial attentions were great. The starter, fried ricotta and honey, and the mains were fantastic! However, following that, we appeared forgotten! We were left for 45 minutes with no dessert enquiry. When we eventually attracted some attention, we ordered. 15 minutes later, nothing arrived. We requested the bill, which took another 8-10 minutes. We were there nearly two hours, had two excellent courses, and paid 75 euros. Previous evening, we paid 78 euros elsewhere, had three courses, and were done in just over an hour. Food and wine were special, the rest…..hmmmmmm!

We had to move tables because of a strong odor of frying oil. The first two bottles of water were flat. I asked for a real brand of bottled water and all they had was one that I think is just tap water and they add bubbles. Food was very good but it killed the dinner experience.

The service was great and the restaurant looked lovely but the food was just very mediocre compared to the other food we have had here. The lobster pasta tasted off and the meaty macaroni was similar to something you could easily get on the UK.
