7.5/10Service was amazing. Lots to choose from on the menu . The pizza was lovely but I had Gnocchi with tuna whic wasn’t very tasty and was violently sick after eating it then was fine again.

10/10This is simply the best pasta we have ever had. We been in Rome for 5 days, and this was the best food we could find. One fork of the carbonara was like a taste explotion, bringing back multiple strong feelings of joy and happines. We will return one day❤️

10/10Al Viminale has the feel of a local Roman eatery. The menu is typically Roman, prices very reasonable, service is excellent. Very good wine choices and one of the best tiramisu! We are regular visitors to Rome and Al Viminale is always one of our dinner stops.

10/10+1This little gem is a great additionto the neighborhood, We went back for a second dinner while staying at Monti Apartments. Just down the street, the owner knows how to match meals and vino. An excellent menu. And if you would like to try meat, the steaks are as delicious as the pastas. Not to mention the dessert which was so delicious, it was gone in 30 seconds 😋

8/10Though the restaurant was a great find and the food was great. The only issue we had was the waiter made us felt like we had to leave a tip when from what we had read that tipping is not necessary.

6.5/10Positives: the staff is super friendly and speaks English well. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The restaurant was pretty quiet and the food was served rather quickly. Tiramisu was lovely. Cons: the food was okay, a bit bland, so salt was needed to enhance the flavor. The food was not bad, by any means, but was just not as good as I’ve had at other restaurants. We did enjoy the eggplant parmigiana, but the pasta dish I had was nothing to write home about and the sea bass was the same. I feel bad to leave a negative review but all other reviews were glowing, that I read, and the restaurant just did not live up to the hype.

8.5/10Very warm welcome and service was great throughout. Starters were superb - great quality buffalo mozzarella and ham. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came undoubtedly rare. The quality of the steak and the sauce was excellent though, and fortunately I am able to eat a rare steak. The mushrooms in the pasta dish were soggy. Pasta was excellent. Wanted crème caramel for dessert and (at 9pm) - they said they had run out. After reading reviews I was slightly disappointed but would definately give it another go.

10/10We ran across this restaurant last year by happenstance. I had a brief chat with the owner, who was standing at the front door before opening. Another couple and us had an 18 day visit to Italy last year, and of the 18 fantastic dinners we had, dinner at Al Viminale was in our top three. We each order something different, sharing tastes of each dish all around, and everything was wonderful. We returned to Al Viminale again this year during a 26-day trip to Genoa, Venice, Florence, and Rome. Again, dinner at Al Viminale was in our top three of 26 dinners. Every aspect - - - the variety, the food, the service, the fair prices, that happy attitude of everyone there. This is a family-owned (Father/daughter) restaurant, and an experience not to be missed. (P.S. In fact, we went back again two nights later !)

4.5/10So many far superior restaurants in the area to enjoy dinner. The food quality ingredients did not taste fresh. Overpriced for the value. We spent 5 days in Rome and this was our least favorite meal. All 8 of us agreed.

8/10The red wine proposed at the glass (chianti) was not tasteful and hence was not of descent quality contrary to many other wines that are used to be proposed in similar restaurants. It was a clear disappointment. The pasta dishes were good but the portions were rather small for the requested price. Some dishes indicated on the menu were not available and it was not mentioned by the waiter until we asked for them at the time of ordering. The homemade desserts were really good.

10/10Visited on a Monday night, early in the evening. The outside of the restaurant is plain, but the interior is beautiful and warm. Even though we visited at a slow time, the service and excellent and the food was superb. A great value for a large group (10 people) in the center of Rome.

9.5/10This was a great find near our lodging. We liked it so much the first night that we returned for our last meal on the trip. We ate at some wonderful restaurants across Italy in four major cities . This was without comparison our best meal all around and reasonably priced.

9.5/10This place was fantastic! It was our last night in Rome and had 11 of us! There was a little bit of a wait as far as service and food but again, there was 11 of us so it wasnt a big deal. The food was perfect, the wine was perfect. Would absolutely reccomment 10 out of 10!

10/10Amazing little restaurant with high quality local cuisine. Service was perfect, attentive and professional. Good selection of wine, both local and international. Homemade deserts are absolutely fabulous - we had tiramisu, panna cotta and lemon sorbet. Highly recommended.

10/10Great fresh and tasty food, in particular the fish and seafood. Nice and local feel to the restaurant, and very personal service, in particular taking well care of our young adults in the family party.
