This could be better. We came here three years ago and it was excellent. The service was ok considering the restaurant wasn’t very busy. There was a medieval fair in the town and some restaurants had people waiting. Not so here. I recommend you turn the television off. The only people watching it were the wait staff and it was distracting.

The food and wine were very good, properly prepared. Wait staff could have been more attentive especially where the restaurant was not busy. Access is not the easiest as it is located within the castle walls with no parking.

For excellent authentic Portuguese food at very reasonable prices this place is a find! Everything was delicious and fresh and the portions are very generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this dining experience.

Another superb meal at Alcaide. We love the honey and goats cheese starter & today had the lamb and partridges - all cooked well. We love this restaurant and look forward to returning soon.

Well it seemed nice snd the reviews convinced me to go but a pretty good meal in the wind ended with my glass of wine and my glass of water being blown all over me and breaking the glasses in the process. I was not offered any assistance and had to leave Obidos drenched.

Great food with an unusual twist it is a lovely place but with covid it was half full so the atmosphere was quiet but if the tourists were in Portugal it would have been very lively. We would definitely return.

Friendly staff, we shared a starter of goats cheese & honey with bread & olives - all amazing. The mains of pork secrets & fillets were superbly cooked & generous portions. Squeezed in a portion of creme caramel & lemon tart with espresso to finish. With a litre of very tasty house red. Very good value.
