I was very shocked to see that this supposedly Portuguese restaurant stopped serving and presenting food that tastes like it should. None of the employees that served us were Portuguese either. Very sad.

Not good experience at all. After arriving on time to the restaurant we encountered a very unpleasant staff , who were not even responding to our questions. After giving us a table, waited for at least 15 minutes but no waiter showed up, neither the menu was given. The place wasn’t very clean either. So we decided to leave in order not to ruin the dinner experience after such a bad start…

The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and patient and the price was very reasonable. My wife and I had the mixed grilled fish for 2. I think it would have fed 4. We also enjoyed the fried sardine starter.

We had dinner there with our group of girls, we loved the food, and had a fish soup as a courtesy, just deliciouse!!great eine and excelent food.

The wait staff was fantastic without being hovering. The food was quintessentially Portuguese and might be the best we've had in Lisbon (including a few Michelin). We had the octopus Galatian style, the squid, Duck Magret and Steak picanha and of course a bottle of Vinho verde.

Typical Portuguese cuisine in suggestive alleys with attentive service to the needs of guests! highly recommended pork a alentejana!

Good price for the quality of the food and very big portions the restaurant also offered us a welcome soup and a digestive. Super recommended

Fresh seafood, cooked well and were delicious. We tried the bacalhua a bras, grilled octopus with paprika, grilled sardines and squid. The octopus and squid were perfect and tender . Attentive staff, had complimentary fish soup which was tasty. Definately worth a try if in the area and in search of nice seafood

The dishes are tasty and large; there are lots of choices on the menu. It is sad for the waiters and the other staff that the owner adds 2.5 euro / pax 'service and couvert' fee on the bill. The staff doesn't get a single penny on this. Instead they have been advised to explain fee to be an official tax - ridiculous. Moreover, their 30% discount turned out to be only 26%. It's peanuts but still not fair and honest towards the clients. Anyhow, worth visiting but watch out that you don't end up paying too much

It is a very relaxing and great atmosphere, with such a nice personal. We enjoy the food and deserts and I kindly recommended. Great and tasty experience!

High portugal cousine. We ate 2 starters, 2 soups, 2 main course - grilled octopus and seafood pasta. Also 2 sangria and water. We have a present from chefs potato with mushrooms. Everything was delicious😋😋 Total sum with service and our tips was €80 (with forks 30% discount)

This typical Portuguese restaurant was very good in food quality & service. We ordered mixed fish for 2 people which is actually for 3 people so go hungry. We had the dinner inside the restaurant because the streets are dirty and smelly. Air condition in the restaurant was on, restroom very clean. The chef has made us a favor and sent a starter and a glass of liqueur which we really appreciated. 30% discount applies excluding the drinks so I recommend it to all and we'll surely try once more. Thanks

Nice restaurant in the middle of a lively area in Lisbon. Great for a romantic dinner before enjoying Lisbon night life.

A good place to eat in busy Bairro Alto. There are a lot of other Portuguese restaurant, but Alfaia seems the most authentic. We had covert, plus a pork and clam dish for my friend, and a grilled swordfish for me. Great flavour, good value for money, friendly service. Highly recommended, especially if you are new to Lisbon.

The best menu in Lisbon. Everything was superb. I wish we had eaten there every night of our stay in your lovely city instead of only discovering it on our last night!

Plus : the food was decent, good quality and fresh. Minus : the obligation to pay 2,5 euros per person despite refusing bread. According to the head waiter this "tourist tax" had been applicable for 2 weeks but when pushed he couldn't tell us where to find the legal source. We believe we were cheated as no other restaurant had requested this. Also, the head waiter refused to let us eat inside saying he had no one to serve there. The tables outside are placed very close to cars passing by.

Very good food and ambient, the waiter Wilson (if I recall it correctly) was super friendly! The appetizer was delicious (shrimp with garlic) one of the best ones we ever tried!! The only downside was that the bacalhau in the bacalhau cataplana was suuuuuper salty witch was a boomer and the only reason its not a 10!

Food is delicious, however you need to be patient. From the starters to dessert, everything takes a long time to be served.
