10/10Great food and service. We got the tacos and a burrito, each came with rice, beans, sour cream, and guacamole. I recommend the spicy chicken burrito! Mexican food around Amsterdam can be unnecessarily expensive but this one is about €18 including the rice and beans and a good serving size, so it's more reasonable comparatively. The staff was nice and attentive too. We'll be back again!

10/10Excellen Excellent meal out with my two boys. Still in business after nearly 40 years says it a all...best Mexican in Amsterdam no question. Fajitas were really delicious especially the lamb one and overall nice and friendly, super service and great value

9.5/10Authentic Mexican food and a good bottle of wine served by an attentive gentleman. Reasonably priced and a good atmosphere. Would recommend - and eat here again if/when I return to the city.

2/10Not real Mexican food, tacos are shells from Albert heijn, beans are kidney beans vs pinto beans and more like American chili vs Mexican beans, the white cheese they use is feta vs cojita, the tortilla chips were more like a chip you get at the movie theatre, the nachos were a sprinkle of cheese over these same chips. Overall if you’ve had real Mexican food you will not like it. The jalapeño poppers were good, but that’s not even Mexican food. Margaritas were also ok.

6/10The food was just ok. But i dont think I would go back. The Strawberry daiquri was good, but it was really smal, and much more expencive then other restaurants around here. The restaurant was noisy. The waitress was nice.

10/10After reading the reviews on here, we thought we would give it a go. SO glad we did! The food was amazing, so tasty, plentiful and everyone enjoyed their meals. The margaritas were also fabulous - all round great evening.

10/10Being from the U.S. and especially Texas, we like our Tex-Mex. Alfonso's did not disappoint. From the many salsas, to the extra veggies in the Chicken fajitas everything was just like Texas.

10/10We had a lovely time at Alfonso’s! The staff is super nice and the food is delicious. The entire restaurant, with the music and everything, made us feel like we were in Mexico! 10/10 would recommend.

6.5/10Great service but food was quite bland. Quesadillas was not properly cooked and the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The sizes of the drinks were pathetic for lack of a better word. A long drink should be just that: long and therefore not served in child-size glasses and still be that expensive. In total we spent 45 minutes there, and that included a starter.

9.5/10We ate here in December, it wasn't busy but the service was excellent. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was great and calm. We didn't have to wait long for our food. And all this for a very reasonable price! Will definitely go again.

7/10Well, let me begin by saying that the place was awesome because of many more things than just the food. So, we step in and the whole place has this amazing appetizing fragrance of delicious food - I was very tempted to gon in ahead and get a table - so we did. The ambience is cozy, a lil rustic and nice. We started with tequila shots - nobody can get then wrong so lets discuss other things :) the margarita was not amazing - just okay. I wasnt a fan that they were frozen but not on the rocks - also the glass was a lil non-margarita'ish . The salsa was not amazing but okay. The chips were warm and fresh. The guacamole was the best that I have had in amsterdam - so the standard is pretty low - but you know what - it was not that bad - okay. We had seafood and steak fajitas and we loved em. The service was very good and friendly. The price was reasonable. The only inconvenience I had was that I had to climb some really steep stairs to get to the restroom. So, the bottom line - would i go here again? Yes, I would.
