5.5/10We arrived promptly for our reservation and were seated in the back near a door used by the waitstaff. Then we were ignored as multiple servers attended to tables around us. We finally got some water (which was different than what we requested). There was an additional delay before drink orders were taken. Finally, some bread. Escargot but no plates. We had to ask for them. We received very little attention throughout the meal. We were never asked if we wanted more to drink or how the food was or if we needed anything. The escargot were cold. The filet was cooked perfectly and very delicious, but the fries were also not sufficiently hot or crisp. In short, we felt like unimportant patrons. We don’t know why. We were dressed appropriately and were very polite. Because we were two females? Because we weren’t French? The meal was expensive and there are many wonderful restaurants in Paris. We won’t be returning. I regret not making a different choice.

The starters were acceptable, but the entrées were disappointing—served cold, completely unseasoned, and lacking in flavor. The service was equally poor: the staff were unresponsive and came across as unprofessional. We had ordered a bottle of wine, but our server kept the bottle and poured it himself; I had to ask several times for a refill and even had to go find the server just to get the check. Overall, it was not a great dining experience.

The service was superb. Mateau was attentive and professional. Was quite helpful with Americans who had little to no French. English friendly restaurant. Gave a spot-on wine recommendation. The food was amazing and the best we had this trip to Spain and France. Had the escargot, the fish of the day and the steak and frites. All were prepared to perfection. The sauce for the fish was amazing and complemented the white fish perfectly. My husband enjoyed his steak and commented that the peppercorn sauce was outstanding. Highly recommend

6/10We had the roasted chicken with potatoes for two. The chicken was just okay…definitely nothing special and definitely not worth 50 euros. They served a ridiculous amount of baby potatoes that were barely seasoned themselves. The establishment was extremely noisy and so I wouldn’t consider this place a romantic spot although it was visually pleasing to the eye.

I am visiting the City that I love, Paris, and my concierge recommended Alfred. It was wonderful, full of charm with candle-lit tables and Beatles music playing in the background. The food was amazing, I had the steak filet, a fish starter and their home-baked chocolate crème puff for dessert. I recommend it highly! Plus all of the waiters were so nice and very handsome too!

Beautiful food in a beauty setting. The waiters were lovely and attentive, the food was magnificent and the atmosphere was perfect; the decor was beautiful with great music and lighting. I would highly recommend visiting Alfred and I’m sure I will be back in the future!

We enjoyed our lunch. My steak tartare was well seasoned and the crispy potato topping was a nice twist on this bistro classic. The moules were fresh and tasty. Overall a pleasant experience in a good location.

4/10Likely pushed by the touristy location, we were constantly pressed to eat and leave. Mussels that were advertised as being excellent looked dehydrated and arrived lukewarm. We were offered ice cubes for the rosé and the old prune was swapped without letting us know by a pear digestive. Horror!

9/10We had our first Paris lunch in Chez Alfred, and it was everything I've expected - a very tasty mix of French classics with modern touches. The ambience was pleasant and the service was kind and professional.

2/10The worst restaurant ever Manager behaved so rude(he said that he didn’t care what I think ,I have never had situation in my life when someone talk with me this way) He said that he doesn’t care what client think just pay and get out Food was awful,I ordered meet it was spoiled and they said that is my test and haven’t removed it from the bill Service I can’t even say that it was awful because it worse Hate hate and and one more time hate Don’t visit this restaurant!!!

6/10The waiter came and asked if we wanted dessert and coffee and then told us we had 10 minutes left of our reservation time to order and finish if we ordered dessert and coffee. We said we had 1/2 hour based on the reservation time of 2 hours allotment.He said he would check to confirm- which he should have done before embarrassing and insulting us. And you'd think he would check the booking before speaking to clients that way. He didn't come back to apologize for his mistake . So unimpressed by restaurant and service. Would not recommend.

8/10The food was lovely. I had the "Château Filet, sauce poivre et bourbon, frites maison"and "Chou à la crème maison, sauce chocolat" and enjoyed both. The decor and atmosphere are very nice, with the right lighting. The restaurants attracts a nice crowd, stylish and diverse. The waiters were polite but the service was not well organised. I was shown my table but was left in front of it and asked to wait to sit down for more than 5-8 minutes. My main and side arrived at different times (basically when I was about to finish the filet I got the frites, after a couple of solicitations).

10/10One of the best restaurants I ve ever been to in my life! Vibes were incredible, food was fantastic and the staff was lovely! We ordered two mains and one glass of wine each. In the end they asked us about dessert and we politely declined but nonetheless they brought us limoncello shots on the house! Everything was 10/10

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming especially to a non-French speaker. I really enjoyed the Pomstar Alfred cocktail and the Tarte tartin plus the Chateau Filet was cooked just right. Thanks for a great evening on my solo trip to Paris!

7/10The ambiance is great, very nice interior design, good music, the staff are extremely polite and helpful. Unfortunately the food was rather average. We ordered the steak fillet and asked for à point cuisson. The steak was well done and for French standards I would say over-cooked. The entrées were also bland.
