Adding some extra scented candles would mask some less pleasant outside smells. The food was good, the Tiramisu not really. Didn't love the sangria.

Truly the worst meal in Lisbon in recent memory. I had the mushroom “cannelloni”, comprised of cold, slimy chopped mushrooms (intentionally cold, apparently) in a spring roll-type wrap, accompanied by spinach that was more salt than vegetable. It was inedible, and treated as such. My partner’s beef carpaccio was so old it was browning around the edges, with the only enjoyable dish being a kind of tuna tataki with roast sweet potatoes. Fortunately, there isn’t much reason to be up in Queluz area so no need to cross this doorway again.

Excellent restaurant choice in front of the Palácio da Luz. Very comprehensive wine list, detailing each one of the regions and bottles available. The dishes are visually well prepared and tasted very good. Most of them are contemporary versions of classic Portuguese dishes: we had the alheira and vitela cheeks, finishing with chocolateria, ideal for chocolate fans. Service was efficient and pleasant. We stayed at the esplanada, but the interior decor was very neat, with wine motiffs.
