6.5/10I made a reservation a month in advance. We were given a table that had 3-legged stools instead of chairs. Being elderly, I can't sit for a nice dinner on a seat with no back. We switched the stools for chairs that were at an empty table. The staff said we couldn't do that, we'd have to be moved. I noticed an empty table with chairs, but was told we couldn't have it because it was reserved. Our only option was to be seated outside, at least it was enclosed and nobody smoked. Why would a nice restaurant have tables with stools? Why was my reservation deemed lesser than one who hadn't shown up yet? It put a damper on my birthday celebration.

10/10We spent a week in Florence and this was our favorite restaurant, it is the place to go for melt in your mouth, perfectly cooked, Florentine steak. Great staff, great ambience, not over priced, every dish was good from cheese platter to grid zucchini blossoms to pastas and dessert. Feels like a local place.

10/10The room, the setting, and the people made it wonderful on top of great food. The staff was very very, very, very patient and we mean very, very, very very patient with us ordering everything including going through several bottles of wine until we and the house agreed on the final selection! Very, very, very very patient with us which made us feel unique and special.

9.5/10Had the ragu pappardelle and beef stew with roasted parmesan cream onions. Food was delicious and not salty. A few other restaurants we've been too tend to overly salt their food. Some premium wines available as well by the glass which was ideal for visitors who are also in the area doing a wine tour.

9.5/10Absolutely fantastic food! The steak was insane, a huge portion, reasonably priced and all the sides we ordered were amazing too! We would highly recommend. The only bad part of it was the service, not very friendly.

9/10Excellent food at reasonable prices. Struggled with initial service that was quickly restored. Probably an American/Italian misunderstanding. Florentine steak was amazing. Starters, sides and wine were very good. Everything including dessert was under 100€ per couple. Great deal.

4/10The steak was okay. Service was very slow. It wasn’t the servers fault. She needed bussers!!! Also, we got stuck in front of the deli case…ugh. In addition, it was hot. Not an enjoyable experience and I would never go back.

4.5/10Probably a great spot for Italians, but they are not friendly to tourists. Service was awful, very rude and unfriendly. Rushed meal, steak came out right after the starter, before we even finished it. Steak was overcooked.

10/10This was a return visit after our first dinner there 26 years ago! The pappa al pomodoro and bistecca were even better than we remembered and the service was very gracious. Lovely restaurant all around!

10/10We went for lunch and had the best steak ever. The bisteca Florentino was the best meal so far on our trip. This is a place the locals go so you know it has to be great. If you want to splurge on a steak and a bottle of wine you must try it.

9/10A repeat visit . Previous was 2023 . We chose the Florentine Steak which was perfectly cooked med/ rare . Vegetables were ok standard . Two guests chose chicken and rabbit which was below expectations but well cooked . Wine was excellent Bolgheri and sensibly priced .

3/10The only thing that saved our evening was the steak. While we had ordered the bistecca and were given the costada (no T shaped bone and no filet) it was properly cooked and seasoned. None of of order was delivered correctly. Half of our starters were not what we ordered, we were given the wrong sides and never served the wine we ordered three times. Maybe it was a bad night, maybe our server was new. The rest of the food was middle of the road. The Bruschetta came on a piece of untoasted white bread with a good topping. The local salami was good but the side of marinated mushroom were sad and had no taste. The little lettuce cut in strip has garnish was unimaginative at best. In the end, the cook on the grill saved the day and the people around us seemed to have had better service than we did so part of this could be a fluke.

10/10An excellent experience at a traditional restaurant from the beginning to the end. Although we arrived 20 minutes earlier than our reservation time we didn't have to wait. The staff were all friendly especially the young lady that served us. The Bistreca was excellent together with other things we ordered. Very normal prices, highly recommended.
