This is one of best restaurants we visited in Algarva. The food and service was excellent and fresh. Mr Luis made our food experience great by attentive and kind hospitality.

Appetizer size is absolutely ridiculous for the price they charge. Food was just OK, but I had much better food for MUCH lower price in Portimao restaurants.

Amazing fresh fish on display. Love the razor clams , fantastic service and really great value for money

We came to this restaurant based on a recommendation. They offer fresh fish and seafood daily, which is definitely a big plus. Unfortunately, the waiting time was quite long — we waited about an hour just for the soups, and then another 30 minutes for the rest of the food. The waiters seemed to be doing their best, but the overall organization (including the kitchen) could be improved. The soups were very good. The seabass lacked a bit of flavor, the mussels were good but the sauce was slightly too salty, and the octopus was a bit chewy. Overall, we expected a bit more. On a positive note, everything with our booking through TheFork worked perfectly, and the discount was applied without any issues.

Excellent food, service friendly, entertainment was great, my daughters birthday and a surprise of chocolate cake made ut even more special, throughly recommend, we had sea bass and it was exquisite.

Wonderful fresh fish- can really tell the difference here compared to some other fish restaurants we went to in Lagos. Fernando was very helpful and friendly and helped us with our choices for food (obrigado!). The resturant is bright and airy and beautifully decorated Would definitely recommend ♥️

The seafood was ok. Not the tastiest ever. The deal seems pretty good. Till you see that they charge €4 for an imperial! Almost 3 times as much as elsewhere. Be aware!

Great eats here and a real fish market, weighed before they cook for you and all locally caught. We tried a few dishes but had the traditional Cataplana pot which was beautiful. An abundance of flavours with the various fishes mixed with. Thank you to the team and Luis, very intelligent guys who are bilingual.

Another great lunch here at the Allgarbe l had razor clams last time and couldn't stop thinking about them so had them again ..soo good,.. top value with the 50% fork offer

Long wait to get a table and then again to get food. Biggest disappointment was the quality of the food (lamb chops). Afterwards no compensation offer! In short: never again!

A great place, everything was amazing from the service to the delicious food! The staff was so kind, right when I walked in as a solo guest I was treated so well and they made me feel welcome. The food was delicious and it happened to be Fado night so that was very entertaining. Great evening, a must visit.

+2Not only we're all of our meals superb but every person on staff made us feel welcomed and informed about our meal and travelling in Portugal. We are here from the US and a little worried about how other countries will receive us because of our dictator of a President. Allgarbe made us feel as if we were being welcomed into Grandmother's home. We will recommend this restaurant highly and often. Carviero Cave Boat Tours recommend them to us. Allgarbe truly is the BEST seafood restaurant in Portugal

Really wonderful restaurant. We tried the octopus and the salmon and both were amazing. If you are looking for a delicious seafood spot, this is it.

Decent portuguese food, not more not less. Rather on the expensive side considering value for money. But we had a 50% offer, so I don't know how that influenced portion sizes, if they were adjusted to our discount.

We arrived at 7:55 for our 8pm reservation. We were quickly seated and then completely ignored for more than 20 minutes. No menu, no offer of water, just ignored. It took over an hour for our entree to arrive, from when we ordered. And it wasn’t extraordinarily busy. The food was great but the service was really lacking. The Fado show was good, but we weren’t seated in that room, so we didn’t get to feel the energy of performance. Price was reasonable with 50% discount from The Fork. Without it I’d have been more critical of the service. Oysters and seafood rice were both excellent. Service lacking.

I love this restaurant! The food was excellent, and our waiter Luis was so sweet and attentive, always checking if we were enjoying everything. The restaurant is clean and has a really cozy, welcoming atmosphere. With the 50% discount from The Fork, it was an amazing deal. Plus, we had live music, which made the whole experience even more lovely. Definitely will be back!

A True Gem From the moment we stepped inside you are welcomed and a wonderful display of fresh fish which i was told are all wild caught. The interior is clean and modern, creating an elegant and relaxed dining space. We started our meal by admiring the stunning coral reef aquarium-a beautiful, unique touch. The food was the real highlight, with impossibly fresh fish (sand sole) that tasted like it was caught minutes before. What truly elevated the evening was the attentive service; the staff were knowledgeable and warm. To top it all off, we were treated to an incredibly moving performance of live Fado. A perfect evening that we won't soon forget!

Great quality food, excellent service, super Fado singers and musicians who we were lucky to see as we weren't expecting any music. The food is quite expensive compared to other local restaurants but the Fork discount helped enormously!
