Had lunch to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday. The staff surprised her not just with a cake, but with a beautiful bouquet. Service was attentive and top notch. Food was impeccable. Technique really shines through. A truly memorable experience.

From the moment we entered the restaurant we knew we were for a treat. We were running late due to trafic but the staff held our reservation! All the servers, the maitre’d, the runners and the kitchen staff were very friendly and spot on in the service and the experience. And the food….OMG…. Cant describe… just put Alma in your bucket list….

Too precious for our tastes, and the vaunted service was mediocre on this occasion. Had to ask three times for a wine list, intervals between courses were much too long, and pours on wines by the glass barely dampened the bottom of the glass. Tries too hard with barren interior and t-shirted wait staff. Not at all comparable to other two-star experiences we have had.

Both the food and extraordinary service at Alma make it the best restaurant in Lisbon. Each dish is presented beautifully and consists of amazing textures and complex and interesting tastes. The servers are knowledgable and warm and most of all professional. One of our favorite restaurants anywhere.

We absolutely loved Alma. We had a tasting menu - dish and traditional. The only item to consider is that the wine pairing with the fish was too similar. All wines were very high in mineral content/taste and didn’t offer enough complexity to the food. Overall the food, wine and service were exquisite.

Behind the dark green doors is a world of culinary wonder and a menagerie of delicacies- the service from the beginning and the cozy interiors set a wonderful tone for our lunch. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with great recommendations. The chefs surprises and bread are definitely a must and were a highlight of the meal. I loved the “pani puri” with caviar and herbs, and the tempura red pepper was phenomenal. For the mains, I enjoyed the suckling pig confit, but I found the lamb to be a bit too chewy. The chefs surprises included some dessert truffles which were phenomenal

From the very first bites, the cuisine reveals an almost perfect mastery. As an amuse-bouche, the pork toasts are fabulous, a true ode to gourmet delight. The main courses continue on this high note, although we did notice a few imperfections: one dish was slightly too salty and the pork needed a bit more cooking time. However, the reimagined pastel de nata stands out as a culinary masterpiece worthy of three stars. To end on a high note, we tasted the arroz doce revisited with cauliflower and a floating cloud, a surprising and bold dessert. The experience remains memorable, enhanced by impeccable and attentive service. This is an address to remember for discerning palates in search of refined gastronomic discoveries.

Alma is a 2 Michelin Star rated restaurant that lives up to the hype. The food is amazing, the service is impeccable and the presentation is creative with an artistic flair. My wife and I each got the tasting menu's (they offer two choices and we got 1 of each) and we shared each course. We felt like we were provided a tour of delicious Portuguese cuisine from all over the country. My only warning to anyone who goes here is come hungry! We were so full when we were done we were glad we only had a 15 minute walk back to our hotel. If you want a gastronomic feast, Alma does not disappoint!

Honestly this place was AMAZING. Was hesitant because of some of the reviews and WOW please ignore anything negative! The food was phenomenal and the service was top notch. They were extremely attentive to every detail. This was dinner our first night in Lisbon and I HIGHLY recommend!

That was the second Michelin Star restaurant we visited in Lisbon. The food was wonderful and unexpected. But the services were not as attentive as other Michelin restaurant. I expect they would spend some more time to explain each dish in more detail. Overall experience was pleasant, but we expect more from a two stars Michelin.
