7.5/10great courses: grilled fish is tasty and well prepared. the service is not super speedy but if you're not in hurry it's ok. the waiters are polite. it's a perfect restaurant for a dinner with friends or families. absolutely recommended!

7.5/10Visited restaurant on good reviews recommendations . Our suggestions to restaurant will be: 1.Menu should be abit more explanatory/descriptive in English. 2.Should have more variety of seafood. Staff very friendly and tried to help but language a barrier. Overall a good restaurant 👍

I was here on Christmas Day, had a lovely lunch with my parents and boyfriend. It's a great choice if you want a selection of local food, the cod was amazing and the risotto as well! I would definitely recommend this place!

8.5/10Had been looking for a place to eat with my mother and always look at a few new places to excite me, this one had conflicting reviews bad service pushy service etc but one common thing was that the food was great even on those that gave a negative score. We arrived and the expectation of the ambiance was not my worry but still the simplicity was good and the location just right close to enough attractions, the food amazing, must say the cook or cooks are on the ball with this, keep up the good work, we had the chouriço, sheep cheese, cod and sangria, yes bread and olives are paid and need to be requested. What is disappointing is service it’s slow the waiter didn’t have enough interaction and the food arriving to the table is not organised, they are indeed polite and the only thing that can make my review of service not mean anything is that one might be new. I recommend this place and even if they two waiters ar there I believe they will improve over time, politeness they have already

8.5/10Small restaurant seating so our table was close to the next. But service was good and food was great. The seafood rice for 2 was good and there were crabs, shrimps, mussels and clams in it. The steak on hot stone was really good. All in all the prices were reasonable and with TheFork discount even better !

6/10I love Alpendre: no-frills but great food. This visit, it seemed to have lost a little of its unique charm, maybe because the long-established staff were not present. I assume they have moved on. The current staff were good though they needed to be asked for hand wipes to go with the seafood and rice dish, which shouldn't have been necessary. The non-stop ancient Bing Crosby/Frank Sinatra Christmas songs were a real turn-off, but the food was good and the prices remain resaonable.

This felt like a nice family restaurant. Calm, friendly, relaxed. However, the FOOD was amazing. My picky sons were thrilled by the steak on the stone, and octopus pasta. My seafood rice was outstanding. Highly recommended.

"Alpendre is no longer the restaurant it was twenty years ago, the one I always enjoyed for its authenticity and cheerful atmosphere. The food is still good, but the prices have risen significantly, the atmosphere is more somber, and the table setting leaves much to be desired.
