The food was good but the service was chaotic. They also allow street vendors to come into the restaurant to try and sell you stuff during your dinner which was annoying.

Terrible experience. Our reservation via The Fork wasn’t accepted by the restaurant and our family was left without a New Year’s Eve dinner. Very frustrating. The issue was poorly handled by the restaurant, with no accountability for what happened.

We have been traveling through Southern Italy for 15 days. In all the restaurants we have been to, we have been served very well by extremely friendly staff! Unfortunately, in Bari, it was different. We made the reservation through the The Fork app, as usual, but we had a terrible experience at the Alterno restaurant! We waited for a long time for service! We were forgotten about in the restaurant! After ordering, the food took an hour to arrive! And when it was time to pay, we were surprised by the employee who said that the payment could not be made through the app, even though the option is available through The Fork! The employee was extremely rude and said that the payment should be made at the restaurant! But we had already paid through The Fork! We felt like we were leaving without paying the bill! In the end, they dismissed us and we left the restaurant without even finishing our dinner! Terrible service and ok food! Not worth it! We will not go back there!

The food was very good! I got octopus and it was soo big! And so good cooked! The aperitif was also very generous and extremely tasty… it is definitely a place i would return to!

The spigola fish was really big. Luckily I got helped from the waitress to serve it. I loved their tarallini integrali. My bf got chicken fried meat and it was more chicken then than fried part which he appreciates it. Fries comes with mayo and ketchup. I got Prosecco and he got Cedrata which is non alcoholic drink. I’m very full and satisfied. The prices are on very friendly.

Foodwise perfect. Service wise - quite busy and long time waiting in between courses. Ambience- due to current heat wave stayed under cover with cooling fans but TV sound was too load. Personell - all professional
