The same great food and service we have been enjoying over the last 40 years now in a beautifully remodeled setting.

This a lovely family run restaurant is clearly beloved by locals. The atmosphere was warm and my salmon was cooked to perfection. I was craving fish the moment I arrived in Rome and this did not disappoint. Because we were not locals and the restaurant obviously does not need business from tourists, the staff was professional with only one server actually bring friendly. Small quibble; if you are looking for excellent food in a beautiful neighborhood you could not go wrong.

Celebrate 30th anniversary my wife i ate there twice while in Venice....excellent all around. Family / welcoming / attentive! Food was OUTSTANDING. Everyone was more then helpful. Hope to enjoy again. Bob

Restaurant changed and not the same. Unfortunate as we have so many wonderful memories here and sadly we won’t be back due to all the changes made in September 2024

I could only hope that my writing skills could possibly do justice to the great experience we had at Ambasciata. What my wife and I may have thought we have had some great Italian food here in San Diego, California or in Boston or even New York but it pales in comparison to our dinner in early April. We got to enjoy the best carbonara and ragu we have ever had, creamy, tasty and just enough to want more. As if that was not great enough,we finished with a great tiramisu and a crema mascarpone that almost makes me want to jump on the next flight to Rome to have it again. If I could rate the best Italian food that we have had so far at a perfect 10, I would say this comes in at about a 35. I hope you have the same great experience.

This, in my opinion, the very best restaurant in Rome. Starting with the service, Stephen and all of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Stephen is fluent in English and other staff are fluent in Spanish, French and German. The food was amazing....I had the best eggplant parmesan ever in Italy, the roasted pig was fall off the bone perfect, the carcofi alla Romana was new to me and fantastic and, finally, the profiteroles were the final star- light, fluffy and so good. The wine list is completely reasonably and they also have more expensive and well selected wine. I will be returning soon! Thank you to everyone at Ambasciata d'Abruzzo.

I can only compare it to when I visited 30 years ago. I wanted the experience I had back then, but it fell short. New, updated ambience, menu, and uptight service took away the fun welcoming atmosphere and great food I remember. The food was okay but the service was dismal. I ordered a starter but my partner only ordered a steak and side for a main course. Her steak was delivered with my starter and when my partner tasted it, she thought she should have ordered it with the peppercorn sauce. When she asked for a side order of sauce, the waiter said it was not possible, the steak must be cooked in it or you can't have it. The waiter saw she was disappointed, yet he just walked away. He didn't care at all. Then we were basically ignored the rest of the meal. The food is not good enough to go out of your way for.

I learned of this restaurant from a dear friend more than 15 years ago. It was great then and is still great! It has a new, more modern look as well! This was a surprise to me when I visited last week. I I liked the charm of the old look, but the new look is also great. More importantly, the restaurant has maintained the high quality of its food and staff! I highly recommend!

It was an amazing experience. Very authentic, local, amazing in every aspect. During sunday lunch we’ve been the only non-italian table - it says a lot. One of my best experience in Rome which is overall very high on my foodie city list.

This was our last night of a 3 week vacation in Italia and I must say that the lemon spaghetti with zucchini blossoms was the best pasta dish we have ever eaten in our lives. No exaggeration!

Beautiful restaurant. Wonderful staff. Was there in the 1960’s and am overwhelmed by their obvious success over the many years. My very favorite neighborhood restaurant. 4 stars.

This venerable Roman restaurant has been our family’s favorite for more than 40 years, and in all that time, the location, atmosphere, service and food have remained excellent. Pastas, fish, steak—everything is fresh and delicious. If you don’t know what to eat or drink, your server will give you the best advice. You will feel away from the tourist and among true Italians in this Parioli neighborhood classic.

Server was very pushy, taking advantage of the fact we were tourists and it was our first night in Italy. Told us certain dishes were sold out and pushed us to get the “special” fish of the evening that was market price and $90. Basically refused to serve us a $40 bottle of wine, telling us it was terrible. We learned our lesson, don’t be fooled and let them push you around. Food overall was okay, appetizer was great, the rest was fine.

The food quality was excellent! We ate comfortably outside as the restaurant is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. Our waiter, Lucca, was attentive but never rushed us; he was friendly and helpful yet never intrusive...very good service! We plan to return.

Great service, wonderful food and reasonable cost. We had three courses - Pasta, Steak and Dessert. All exceeded my expectations.
