It was a nice place and a nice meal. We had chicken and it was perfectly cooked. Also a large chocolate musse which was good and can be recommended. The.service was attentive and efficient.

Located on the ground floor of the Miiro Hotel La Grand Hôtel Cayré, Annette sits to the left of the bar in an open-plan layout. Despite this openness, the actual entrance to the restaurant is kept closed, meaning all guests must enter through the hotel’s main entrance, which creates a slightly awkward flow. On arrival there was a noticeable delay before the maître d’ greeted guests. This appeared to affect all arriving diners rather than just our table, but it still gave a slightly disorganised first impression. When we were eventually approached, the manner felt somewhat abrupt and bordering on arrogant, especially after the wait. The tables are extremely close together—roughly 30 cm apart. This might be manageable if seated alone or as a pair, but for a group of three it feels cramped and uncomfortable, with very little privacy between neighbouring diners. As you mentioned, Annette is located on the ground floor of the hotel in an open-plan space next to the bar. The restaurant door is intentionally kept closed in order to avoid drafts and cold that could disturb our guests while dining, which is why access is through the hotel’s main entrance. We understand that this may feel unusual at first and appreciate your understanding. Regarding your arrival, we are sorry if the welcome felt delayed. Ensuring that every guest is greeted and seated with care is very important to us, and your comment helps us remain attentive to this moment of the experience. Thank you as well for sharing your impressions of the dishes. We are glad to read that some elements, such as the sauce accompanying the Plat du jour were enjoyable.

Classy Parisian restaurant with great food and high-end ambience. Service was feeling a bit posh, I never know how to behave in this kind of exchange, but otherwise friendly and nice. Will very likely come back again!

Worst service I think I’ve ever had. The restaurant was only half full on a Friday night (circa 8:30pm so not a good sign in itself) but the staff went awol - had to complain twice about where the service had disappeared to. Ended up leaving after main course as we couldn’t be bothered waiting any longer for someone to reappear after we had asked for the dessert menu. Verging on the bizarre but clearly whoever was in charge was either missing, given up or was incompetent. Pity as Chablis premier cru was well priced, fish starter and main were good and well presented. Would have stayed on but the fell apart.
