9.5/10Lovely view of the harbour from the terrace. Excellent fish courses served to perfection. Correct service, if rather slow at times. This was understandable given its evident popularity.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! Atmosphere was unique being inside of a cave. The service was wonderful. The food was delicious! I highly recommend if you are traveling to Matera.

10/10A must visit in Matera! The food is exceptional, the service is excellent. We will definitely come back. Oh and makes sure you leave enough space for the dessert! The panna cotta is delicious :)

9.5/10Hidden away and a little gem . Full of Italians which is a good sign if the locals eat there. Fabulous bottle of Primitivo and nice tasty food which was good value.

8.5/10Annina 1937 is a very good place where to eat in Matera with a fantastic view on the Sasso Barisano. We stopped at the restaurant after a long walk along the sassi and we found a very friendly atmosphere where we had a very good meal.

10/10Our family of 4 (2 teenage daughters) were seated at a wonderful table in an individual cave. Such a unique setting. We were grateful for the cool internal temperatures as it was blazing hot outside. The wine we had was amazing, the service prompt and warm, the food delicious, the prices were very reasonable. We stayed for dessert and coffee to enjoy the ambiance longer. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

10/10This restaurant was a great find and the best place by far on our trip to Matera. Food, service, ambience, choice, quality!!!! I challenge anyone to pick a fault here. So good if come back to Matera just for this place Ballisimo

10/10Annina 1937 is a little gem in the heart of Matera. The outdoor area is extremely cosy and romantic stretching on a little alley in front of the restaurant. The restaurant inside is stunning. The food is delicious and the wine selection is great. The service was outstanding and the owner of the restaurant is incredibly kind and professional.
