Oh, what a gem! Was looking for traditional Catalan cuisine. I was not disappointed. Top marks in every facet of the experience. That is what makes it stand out. One can get a meal anywhere but a true culinary experience is rare. It was the first to offer paella for one. Three courses with a couple beers and glass of wine for under 50€. The staff went above and beyond. Even with a little flirting from the lady behind the bar. Brought a smile and a bit of a blush to this born again single, upper middle aged, man. If you dine during the usual Catalonian dinner time, aka Sopra, make a reservation.

10/10Great tapas restaurant. Food is really good, reasonably priced, our waiter Iker was very friendly and gave us great recommendations (gambas al ajillo are to die for). The owner walked around all the tables to make sure everyone was having a good time. We will be back!

10/10We were 4 people, we booked 9 different tapas and they were all delicious. They also had great big beer, cocktails, the service was fast and nice. We were very satisfied. Finally, each of us received a liqueur as a restaurant highlight Warmly recommended.

I liked the atmosphere and people were nice but a little pushy. food was good. my husband got the chicken paella and was delicious. I got galician pulp and I was not impressed. it was verybsoft and salty. crema catalana was ok

10/10I came here because a friend recomended the spot for the tapas & paellas, we tried a delicious chicken paella and sangria, we loved it ! The girls who served us were very quick and kind Shout out to the bartender who was the sweetest ! I will for sure come back !

Everything was good For 4 people we ordered plate of tapas, and everyone ordered some main dishes. I disagree with revies that portions were small. Cod was perfect, tapas were decent. Service was very good, we had no problem with -50% on food. We even got a shot of local alcohol at the end. I highly recommend visiting this place.

We had the most delicious food, which was fresh and hot. The hospitality was second to none!! Suman and Snehe made great recommendations and made sure we were well taken care of. It was by far the best meal we ate in Barcelona…..also a great value! Highly recommend

8.5/10The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the waiter was very pushy and tried to push the most expensive dishes, even discrediting the ones we chose. It wasn't nice, and his comments about there being some rice left on the plate were also inappropriate.

7.5/10Service was fine. Shared garlic prawns starter between two of us which were delicious. My wife had iberian pork which was very good. I had sirloin steak cooked medium which was tasty. It left blood on the plate which indicates it was not properly rested after cooking. The only let down in an otherwise very good meal.

The resto is located in one of the most of the popular spots in the Barcelone. Despite being surrounded by tourist traps, Antic Pitarra's prices are very reasonable for the central location. The service was attentive and friendly, in particular our server Suman who had great recommendations. We were a bit hesitant of places with large menus, but we were pleasantly surprised that every dish we ordered was great. We had the russian salad, fried calamar, garlic prawns, bread with aio li, cod with goat cheese and honey, and seafood paella. All dishes arrived hot and fresh, and perfectly timed. We appreciated the offer of limoncello at the end of the meal. We highly recommend Antic Pitarra for those in the area seeking hearty, classic Spanish cuisine.
