We were most impressed with our lovely evening we had at Antica Osteria de Gino. It’s a lovely location, convenient, excellent food and a very lovely waiter who was so helpful. All in all a perfect place for a summer’s evening dinner. We will be back.

Marco our server was fantastic. He spotted all the small things like a fly landing in my wine (brought me another glass without me saying anything). He also saw me struggling with mosquitoes and immediately brought over spray. Restaurant set in quiet residential part of town. On a canal. Quiet and secluded but friendly and warm. Good was amazing. All our starters were delicious. Only dish slightly disappointing (more my taste than bad food) was anchovy pasta. Everything else top class. Thank you. Highly recommend if you want somewhere local and off the beaten track.

We were searching for an away from the crowds restaurant in Venice and we found one not far from our Indigo Hotel . Lovely quiet canal side setting and we ate outside despite threatening rain showers. Staff was friendly and helpful , knowledgeable about their wares and wines. Service was good and washroom clean . A bonus was a 30% off for having booked through the fork.com which was a surprise !
