10/10We’d visited before and brought our friends who were visiting for just three days. One of the best places we’ve eaten at in Bologna, everything was delicious. Our friends loved it and we had a really enjoyable evening. Thank you for helping us impress our friends.

9/10Charming, small Osteria, a bit off the beaten path, but just a 15 minute walk from Piazza Maggiore. A mix of locals and tourists. We enjoyed a good bottle of barbaresco, with a first of Balanzoni (a must try in Bologna) followed by a delicious second (one lamb shank, one veal fillet in puff pastry). Service was attentive without being overbearing. Definitely recommend and would return.

10/10The baked pasta with prosciutto and shaved truffles is honestly some of the best pasta I’ve ever had! For Italy in general, and Bologna specifically, that’s a huge compliment. We ended up sharing this dish with 2 secondi and it was plenty of food. It’s a charming restaurant, great service and just phenomenal food. We’re living in Bologna for 2 months and we will most certainly be back to this restaurant.

9.5/10Once you step inside you're in another world. Traditional odours come to greet, staff is very friendly and professional. Any plate we chose was to die for and even though we are no longer in Bologna we can still taste each and every plate we ordered. Tradition and quality.

10/10Our server was really fantastic! He had been with the restaurant for a really long time and they are so fortunate to have him. His passion for the food and the place came through clearly. The food and ambience were wonderful, I loved the starter (an assortment of different vegetables prepared perfectly plus mortadella and ricotta) and the main (perfectly prepared tuna). I thoroughly enjoyed this place.

10/10This was our fourth visit to the restaurant. We wouldn’t miss it! The owners/chefs welcomed us back, and the incredibly attentive waitstaff made us feel like family. We were served the best tortellini we had in Italy. The Strauchon Family

10/10Really excellent place, a little “off the beaten track” but still a relatively short walk from the Plaza Maggiore area. Delicious and imaginative food, fantastic wines, and above all amazing service. Highly highly recommend!

10/10We visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening, even though it was a quiet night, service was attentive and quick. We enjoyed everything from beginning to end: appetizers were fresh and wonderful, we ordered 3 pasta dishes and thoroughly enjoyed the homemade taste and quality, the main course was suckling pig for 3; the meat fell off the bone and the skin was crispy…everything was extremely well executed. We had a wonderful meal and definitely a highlight of our Bologna trip.

10/10The best meals we had during our holiday was in this restaurant. Everything from the appetisers to the dessert was very delicious and flavourful. Also, the service was second to none - thank you Leo for the menu recommendation and making our dinner even more enjoyable! If you are visiting Bologna, book yourself a table at this restaurant, you won't regret it.

10/10Menu is always different and the food is flawless. Atmosphere is warm and comfortable. This week the first courses, pastas and risottos, featured mushrooms: chanterelles, porcini and truffles. Try the roast suckling pig for two or three persons. Definitely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

6/10The restaurant was nice, food good but disappointed by being changed €10 per person for antipasti when only two people wanted it ( charged for 4 people ) then we all had the suckling pig but realistically there was only enough for two Overall we were all left feeling slightly ripped off as we’re tourists

incredible food, service, and ambiance. The chef has been there since 1979 and it has been a restaurant since the 16TH CENTURY! Special and not touristy. You will cry. get the antipasti to start. best meal of our week (and many meals) in Italy

10/10Traditional cuisine of the Romagna is updated with flair and imagination. The menu is always different; perfectly done risotto, suckling pig, a beautiful branzino crudo this evening and the best sorbet in Bologna. A lovely space too. Check out the New Yorker style magazine covers by the owner’s son who is as talented a chef as he is an artist.

10/10What an incredible find! My family and I really enjoyed dinner. It was in a small intimate venue that was exactly the right size for "tired of crowds" travelers. The restaurant was busy but quiet and we were taken care of impeccably by our server. Everything was done professionally and we were guided to some of the best food of our trip by our server. I recommend the restaurant wholeheartedly!

10/10The best restaurant in Bologna by far!!!!! Just incredible food and atmosphere. The owner suggested wonderful dishes and his son is the chef. Not to be missed but it is only for food lovers and not normal tourists Normal tourists please stay away as this is a gem
