7.5/10The food was fine. Service was good. Ambience was ok. screaming children. We booked through the fork and were supposedly to receive a discount. That did not happen. It wound up being a VERY expensive meal for the amout of food that we got.

10/10Fantastic! Superb food, service, and ambience. I don't know much about steak or wine, but the staff explained the differences clearly and offered great suggestions. My 6 year old, who's never tried slightly done steak, said it was amazing! The 1kg Tuscan steak, pasta, salad, chocolate cake, and wine were all outstanding! I highly recommend this Osteria to everyone, but especially meat lovers!

10/10Friendly, efficient and competent service - thanks to Adriano who was knowledgeable and could advise me so I ordered the perfect meal. This restaurant offers various traditional Tuscan dishes, but is renowned for it’s grilled steaks. The menu has Tbone steaks (1.5kg on average ) that are usually shared , fillet steak, and a tagliata from the sirloin (400g) ideal for one, however I’m sure they can adapt to the number of guests ordering steak. I took the tagliata. Where it gets intersting is the choice of the breed - ranging from Italian, Angus, Piedmontese, and so forth depending on the amount of marbling you like, flavour, etc. Truly exceptional quality. Started off with sliced raw artichokes with slivers of Parmigiano, dressed with lemon juice and an excellent olive oil. Took their thinly sliced crispy fried potatoes as a side dish. They were good but not outstanding - having said that, I spend a lot of time in Brussels and the Belgians make the best “frites” in the world… Good wine selection, half bottles too.

9.5/10We booked the restaurant because its online content said it was good. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant Antico was excellent. Great staff with good knowledge and absolutely fantastic steaks. Would highly recommend this to anyone in the Florence area.

10/10Antica Osteria Toscana is by far one of the best restaurants we have dined in this trip to Italy. Soups, pasta, veal, steaks and stews were all fantastic ! Not sure how people can complain about the service, as we ate on a busy Wednesday night and the service was excellent! In fact, as Americans we have endured some poor server attitudes the past couple of weeks but not here! Not overpriced ( but not cheap) and the quality of the ingredients were excellent and well worth the cost. Thank you to the staff and proprietor for providing us an excellent experience!

3/10Service is a lottery, we had good service once and we had the worst service we had during 9 days in Florence. Sometimes there are experienced waiters and food / service is great. Other times there are students who really don’t care. Service is then shockingly poor. On Friday 7-Apr is one of the worst restaurant existences if have had anywhere. On Tripadvisor there are many reviews talking about fraud with the meat, which is also what we experienced. Just stay away.

8/10On sunday night they were missing several items from the menu. We had to settle on less preferred alternatives. The food was good, not particularly creative but in line with Tuscan tradition. Service was courteous and attentive. The sequence of dishes was wrong but maybe we were not clear when ordering.

10/10The food and staff here were outstanding! Every aspect of our dining experience was superb. I highly recommend this restaurant for those seeking authentic Tuscan flavors and the accompanying dishes that make the meal complete. As an FYI, I was in town on business for three nights and I ate here 2/3 evenings.

7/10The dessert and wine selection was good. The service from the two female staff were excellent and they were incredibly nice. I'm Asian and travelling alone so it was great to be greeted with kindness. The owner however was very upset with me since I was unable to inform him of my reservation beforehand. He scolded me in front of the whole restaurant and it was quite scary and embarrassing. I'd still recommend this restaurant to my friends despite that experience.

5/10One does not have to take a taxi to the suburbs to have a mediocre meal as there are plenty in Florence central. We went due to several photos on their web sight, but they were no longer available. The young woman server was friendly, but she could not make up for the tough steak and the overly salty veal.

10/10Such a great environment and fantastic food! Seasonal menu was delicious, all centered around mushrooms in early July. Do yourself a favor and order the chocolate ice cream at the end of the meal, you won't regret it.

10/10We chose to stay in an "airport" hotel to catch our early morning flight, so we were expecting fast food for dinner. We were shocked and delighted to find a traditional Italian restaurant as good (or better) than anything you will find in central Florence. The space is intimate and beautiful, the food and wine selection are broad, and the preparation and service are exceptional. We did not try the grill, but the Chianina steak on display was tempting. The only restaurant you should go to if you are staying near the airport. And even if you are not, it's worth a taxi ride.

10/10It was really a great experience. The food is super delicious. You can just enjoy the taste of the fresh meat melting in your mouth and feeling the real taste ofthe"fiorentina". The staff were professional ????, welcoming and enthusiastic. We would love to come back to that cosy characteristic place where the ambiance is so warm.

10/10We booked via the Fork option via the phone. Table booked with no issues. We were welcomed and seated quickly. This local venue was packed with locals. Luckily we had booked. Food and wine was as expected from an Italian restaurant. Homemade pasta, well aged meats and an endless local wine list. Make sure you have your "green pass" ready, as this will be checked before being allowed to be seated. I would definitely go again, if I was visiting Florence again.
