Both the food and the service were outstanding. Every dish was unique, very tasty and exquisitely prepared. The service was exemplary as our server was polite, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. Very highly recommended!!

I’ve been to Antica Posta four times over the past 18 months and have always received excellent service in a beautiful setting. The first three visits were thoroughly enjoyable, and we really appreciated the quality of the food. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, the red prawn tartare was dry and lacked freshness and flavour, and the rack of lamb was served too undercooked. While lamb should be served rosé, this was closer to raw, which was disappointing. That said, I’ll definitely return and hope to experience the same high standard of food as on my previous visits.

Such a wonderful dining experience. We sat outside which was so charming and lovely. Food was incredible. Portions are very generous. All around a fantastic experience. Highly recommend.

The dinner we had was so delicious. I asked the wait staff for recommendations and he was so helpful with the explanation of what he likes the most on the menu. You won’t be disappointed.

We had a fabulous meal here, the staff were attentive and the service was not rushed, which we enjoy when on hols. The lobster was delicious as was the whole salt baked seabass. Would recommend here for a romantic meal, the patio area was a lovely setting.

+4Lovely space inside and out. Food was creative and presented beautifully. Portions generous. We should have shared. Staff was helpful and ensured the fish was filleted to my partners liking. This restaurant is a little bit more expensive than others we tried in Monopoli. For the price they provide a high level of service and present everything very nicely. The dishes are a bit more unique than at other more traditional spots.

Some dishes we had like the mackerel starter were good, but some were bland. The pannacotta dessert I had was over set and not like a pannacotta should be . Altogether we paid much more than anywhere else on our 11 days in Puglia even with a discount applied and the quality of taste didn’t match the cost. We also didn’t choose the fresh fish of the day which was more costly. Service was good. But the music playing was loud and I was sitting next to the speakers.

Ha speso 117 euro in due, con sconto applicato, consumando: 2 cocktail, 2 calici di vino, 2 antipasti, 2 secondi di cui uno con tartufo (il più costoso in menu), 2 dolci e acqua. Parliamo di materie prime di altissima qualità, selezionate con cura e lavorate con professionalità. Non stiamo parlando di cucina da mensa o da “posto” turistico qualsiasi dove si serve cibo mediocre a basso costo per soddisfare la massa. Nel contesto dei costi attuali, non solo alimentari ma anche di gestione, non ci sembra affatto un prezzo eccessivo, a meno che non siate abituati a pranzare con 20 euro dove la qualità, ovviamente, è proporzionata. Accettiamo le critiche costruttive – anche sul volume della musica, che verificheremo – ma screditare il lavoro e la qualità senza reale cognizione non è corretto né utile. Cordiali saluti,

Zucchini flower dish was excellent! Our other dishes were good to excellent. We would have liked to give 4.5 stars for the food. Service staff were excellent! We sat outside as the weather was perfect and it was really nice. Inside is stunning.

What is there to say, other than a truly beautifully renovated building, nice winelist, plates generally far above average and original. Seabass was too dry unfortunately. Service was correct though not friendly. A smile makes such a difference and doesn’t cost anything

if you're hungry, don't go here!:)) Very small food portions. After we left the restaurant we were hungry:)) We paid €135 for 2 people without a bottle of wine... the presentation pictures are deceiving. I ordered octopus and he brought me baby octopus and 1 potato cut into 4:)) 18€
Antica PostaThank you for your time in posting this review.We would advise that, instead of writing "if you're hungry don't go here", we would have written that "in being that hungry I made a mistake in choosing the dishes" because our portions of pasta, as you could see with the tortello carbonara (5 tortelli x 30gr totalling 150g plus condiments) are very generous! You even didn't write that you chose to eat 2 local red PRAWN tartares, along with 1 tuna and porcupine scampi as a starter! All highest quality products! Regarding the "polipetto" (i.e. little octopus), the fact of calling it little octopus and not octopus should have made you understand that it is something valuable that cannot exceed 200gr; it undergoes 2 cooking procedures and the potatoes are not simple potatoes but they are cooked in the ash and covered in smoked paprika and saffron sauce! The photos represent our dishes and we do not assume that the same photos are published by customers who have paid like you.We are thankful for having chosen us.

What an amazing meal. We shared everything, the food was delicious and outstanding. Along with perfect service. Nothing rushed or too much to ask for. Think we chose really well which does help. Shared a Puliga sparkling wine white which for the money was perfect. Very happy couple.

Regarding your disliking of our food, we can hereby tell you that we only use fresh, local and absolutely not frozen products of the highest quality. The specific dishes you have tasted reflect our culinary tradition: mixed fried fish and spaghetti with green beans, the essence of Apulia. Beautiful restaurant, gracious service and creative menu based on the bounty of the sea, this is a great place for dinner in Monopoli. Not in the heart of the old town, but a short walk to get there for an after dinner gelato or a stroll along the shore. Fresh fish of the day were offered and prepared correctly. Good wine list with a focus on Puglia (as it should), reasonably priced. In all, we had a memorable experience at Antico Posto.
