Fantastic service, made to feel very at home. Authentic food and very fairly priced. The staff are a true delight, fun and helpful whilst really adding to the experience.

The food was amazing (Gnocchi, Polpette and Cacio e Pepe), the service was attentive and the decor was tasteful. The cost was as expected.

They kindly waited whilst one of our party was 45 minutes late, due to going off in the wrong direction to the wrong restaurant. We were the last people to leave, too. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.

Great food and great service

We were looking for a traditional Italian restaurant, a little off, the beaten path from the usual tourists, like us😇, and this was perfect. On arrival, the greeting was very warm and friendly, and the service throughout remained the same. The food was also perfect. We will definitely be back here

Friendly service. waiters were informative and helpful when deciding what to order. Food was delicious. I will certainly be recommending this restaurant to family and friends visiting Rome.

The staff were so helpful nothing was to much. We shared dishes so we could try more, they helped with choices to get authentic food we pushed our boundaries to try different things and it was AMAZING. Thank you ⭐️

Delicious take on all the Roman classics with attentive service. It is located on a side street off the tourist pedestrian walk, so offers an opportunity for some pleasant, peaceful dining.

The place submerge you in the antique times of the amazing Italian cuisine, the place is decorated with beautiful hand painting murals about Rome in the walls , we order the amatriciana pasta witch is the yummiest I ever had with a recipe that is old as the restaurant and home made pasta, the service was amazing!! the wine delicious 🤤 , he had an amazing time ! We will be back for sure !

Their artichokes are amazing, and the pasta which had artichokes was also wonderful. I had the carbonara, glorious! We actually went back the next night instead of trying a new place.

Our first meal in Italy! My wife said it set the standard for everything else we’ll experience while here. We had the Bucatino All’Amatriciana (bucatini, pork cheek, tomato, & pecorino romano) & Funghi Porcini E Tartufo. Had a hard time deciding which we loved more. Both the food and the service were EXCELLENT. We loved our experience at Antica Trattoria Al Gallinaccio!

If only I had words … the salt in my mouth prevent me from talking … or is it the €8 stale bread ? I have never left food in my plate .! How can you make pasta and margarita Pizza awful thanks for the wine and the try hard waiter with the hardest Job in Roma

Wonderful restaurant tucked away on a side street. Food was phenomenal highly recommend.

The food quality was very good. Service warmed up but started quite indifferently. Ambience was good. More limited wine choice than I would have expected. Not sure I would go back. Too many other good restaurants to try in Roma.

Greeted warmly. The food was delicious - best carbonara I’ve had since coming to Rome. Service was wonderful. We will return.

Picked out this little gem from Google and the reviews. It did not disappoint. I just wish it had a patio, but other than that, great location and food!

Quiet with the feeling of an old established traditional trattoria. Excellent friendly, patient service. The ordered food was served promptly but there was no rush to order or to leave even though we were the last lunch party. An extremely pleasant and relaxed meal.

It was so good that we had to come back again. This time we started with the prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella. For dinner, we had the Veal Saltimboca, Steak w/ housemate apple "sauce", Carbonara, and a Porcini & Truffle pasta (can't remember the name). They were all top notch (incredible, molto bene!). It was worth two trips. Don't miss is!

Great little place for a really good family experience. The service was prompt and the food was ready quickly. We had the Cacio e Pepe, the Amatriciana, and a Porcini spaghetti. They were all incredible. The only knock was that we were done and had to wait a while for the check. However, that could be cultural where I'm used to American servers rushing you out for the next diner.

Sat outside, they had a few tables…was perfect for our family of four. It’s just around the corner from a busy stretch of restaurants/shops, but it’s a little oasis of tranquility and excellent food.

We had high expectations based on the great reviews, but our experience was not great. Food was average, and they seated us in a back room next to a large, loud group of diners. There were other tables available, but they put us in a room with just us and this rowdy party. It was our fault for not asking to move, but my companions didn’t want to make a scene. Overall disappointing.
