9.5/10We booked through the app and recieved a good discount which was honoured without question (I saw one review saying they didn’t so just wanted to share my experience). We had the bistecca and it was stunning, sides were good and then a tirimisu for dolce. Very attentive hosts, it was relatively quiet and so didn’t have a bus tiling atmosphere but it was relaxed and had music playing. Would definitely recommend, amazing location and the food was very good

Our experience at Antico Ristorante Sasso di Dante was a bit underwhelming despite its incredible location. The staff recommended the HG Chianina, so we were excited to try it, but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations. It was served on a sizzling plate, which sounded great at first, but the plate seemed far too hot and ended up overcooking the meat as it sat—something we didn’t experience with similar dishes at other restaurants. The spinach was seasoned quite well and was one of the better parts of the meal. Surprisingly, the highlight of the evening was actually the limoncello offered at the end, a nice Italian touch to close the dinner. Considering the prime location and the restaurant’s long history, we expected the overall quality—especially the signature steak—to be much higher. With a few improvements in execution, it could live up to the setting, but for now it falls a bit short of what you’d hope for in the heart of Florence.

10/10The location was amazing. Dining while looking out at the Duomo is an experience I'll never forget. I also liked that we were able to order a steak in an easy-to-eat size of 600g (other restaurants offer steaks that are about 1kg, which is too big for us since we don't eat much).
