+3The restaurant strangely was empty. The manager said they have fewer people in high summer as families rarely go there. The food was excellent and the service was super. We had the tasting menu.

Fine dining at a family resort. The food was inventive and very good. It was not right at the top of the best fine dining but certainly right up there. Service was attentive and appropriate. Overall setting was wonderful overlooking the sea. We had a great evening

10/10Awesome panoramic views from the restaurant made the uphill walk worth the effort ! The Essence taster menu €60 was amazing with a couple of surprise complimentary snacks! Altogether a great experience 🙂

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The service was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, making us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. The tacos were absolutely delicious Both the steak and cheek meat mains were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Truly an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend!"

7.5/10Booked in advance and specified the need for gluten free options for a coeliac. We were presented with snacks to start, two of the three were not gf but were on the same serving dish. My wife was told clearly what she could not have but no interest was shown in adapting any of the other dishes. This severely limited our choice and only one dessert out of the 5 or 6 on the menu was gf. After the meal we were offered chocolates and a small piece of cake each. Again all on the same plate. The meal was nice and the service was ok but it was not ‘fine dining’. Restaurants claiming ‘fine dining ‘ credentials should be able to offer adapted menu options and staff should be trained not to cross contaminate allergens on the same serving dish as non allergens. When eating in other ‘fine dining’ restaurants the approach has been “ tell us what you would like, chef will adapt to suit your requirements” or better still, “chef has prepared a modified dish to suit you needs”. Not here, disappointing

8.5/10QRcode menus are not very user-friendly. Would prefer printed menus ….. The sirloin beef main course while nicely chargrilled and tasty was quite tough and chewy . Slow cooked rib of beef was very good . Starters and desserts were excellent.

10/10We have been to this restaurant a few times now over the years . We have the taster and wine pairing and never let down . The food was exceptional, the wine was spot on . The venue with a view wonderful . Service as always friendly , knowledgeable and warm, personal. We will return .

10/10This is our 5th visit to Aqua and it continues to be excellent in every way. It deserves to have a Michelin Star, I can only imagine the reason why they don’t have one is that an Inspector hasn’t visited!!

7/10It looses a lot with the entrance of the hotel and if the restaurant has a lot of people, it becomes super noisy. However, the food is good and the service as well. Would not recommend it for a romantic dinner, maybe for a nice lunch.

8/10We came one year ago and the tasting menu was approximately still the same. A simpele wine Tajinaste that costs in mostly restaurants around €22 costs €35 in Aqua. . . Big difference for the same wine!

9.5/10The food was excellent: modern, sophisticated, well-presented (something quite rare in Tenerife). The service was even better. Both waiters took outstanding care of us. The only (slight) problem was the very loud music coming from the roof terrace (just above the restaurant) of the hotel. Still, a fine dining experience!

8/10Food and service were good. The restaurant itself is nicely fitted out and has great views. Unfortunately, the restaurant is situated in a tired hotel (Royal Sun) that detracts from the experience.

Lovely small restaurant with amazing views & a relaxing atmosphere. We did the tasting menu and it was delicious, great portion size and unique dishes. Cocktails were great and the staff were nice, friendly & attentive. Would definitely return.

9/10Wonderful food and helpful and knowledgeable staff. I have only marked the score down slightly as I felt the ambiance was lacking. Noisy children at the next table and a noisy dining experience in general. It felt a little like I was dining in a canteen. I would still recommend for the food though!

4/10Definitely a miss. It is a restaurant I can not recommend. The food was not anything special. They are trying to come across as a Michelin quality restaurant but it is not even close. Go elsewhere.

10/10We went for the 6 course tasting menu and every single course was a delight! Superb quality and depth of flavour, we really couldn’t fault any aspect of our meal! At €70 per person it’s not the cheapest meal out, but for the quality delivered it was worth every penny! Both the food and service were excellent and overall we had such a good evening! If you’re in the area just go, you won’t be disappointed!

Loved the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairing. All dishes refiined and not overly complicated. Some local inspiration and for the wine too. Great service. We found the chairs somewhat low compared to the table height, but no showstopper. The ambience is modern and minimalistic, which to our taste could benefit from a bit of extra warmth, but again: minor point. Would recommend and not hesitate to come back if we’d be around again…

10/10We have known about aqua for a couple of years and decided it was time to try it, having been to Lucas maes on the other side of Tenerife in the past. It exceeded our expectations. The food and the service were first class, with a lot of attention to detail and very tasty. Michelin star experience at at a reasonable price.
