4/10The setting of the restaurant is beautiful the food and service are not. The night we ate there the waiter was shouting drink orders from outside into the barman inside. Dishes served without their prime ingredients, burnt food, pizza crust like cardboard. Would recommend for a drink as the setting is right on the beach but eat somewhere else.

5.5/10Unfortunately a large wedding at the same time as our reservation. This meant that the service was not so good. It was messy to sit next to the door. The live music made conversation difficult. You should tell us when booking that you have an event at the same time. Then we would have chosen another day to visit you.

3.5/10We orderbedrag a pre-course and a main-course: first was half finished when we got our main course.... ambiance was loud, not amusing, service unfriendly, they threw the food on or table.... Will never go back again!

7/10The setting was beautiful right on sea. Definitely recommend the arena salad was amazing but a little disappointed with solomillo meal lacked seasoning and meat a bit tough . Brownie desert amazing and others had chicken ribs and pork all very good. Worth a try even if just for location. 30€ ph

6.5/10Service was good in general.Friendly and attentive staff.. They did not apply the discount initially and we had to ask for it. Fish was not that good as expected (lubina). Really strange overn concept for such a fish. On the contrary the sirloin was good and well cooked. Quality price would have been high without discount. My recommendation: order here rice and seafood which I got from previous time and was awesome and dont experiment with the rest of the menu.

3.5/10I booked Area Sunset for 5 people for 3.30 pm the restaurant was very quiet. We all received our starters which were lovely but only 2 of us received our main course. After a long wait we asked the waiter where 3 of the main courses were He had forgotten to write them down !! We left still hungry.

6/10Lovely setting - very big restaurant right on the beach. Perhaps because of the size of the venue it affected the service somewhat, it took a very long time to get anything (including ice cream) but the food was good.

7.5/10Food was great but the service isn’t so great if your Spanish is non existent like mine. Whilst I completely understand that I’m the one coming to Spain - it seemed like only one of the staff spoke English and it felt like we were too much bother to serve. This was a first for me in Spain. Having said, when we did finally order, the food was fabulous.

10/10The place is beautiful and the personnel very kind . The fish is fresh and all the dishes we had have been very tasty. The only problem has been the price and the plates included in the menù . We paid 2 euros more each of us and the salad served was different . Overall very good !

10/10What a wonderful restaurant - staff were welcoming and nicely efficient; the food was superbly fresh and delicious. As vegetarians, they were happy to adapt recipes to suit us. The setting was perfect, right on Mar Menor, and the vibe inside the restaurant relaxed, inviting and friendly. And you can book online. Would go back and definitely recommend- thank you all at Area Sunset.

4/10The salad was served with a large bug inside. The lobster was not cooked properly and the Tiramisu must have been taught in the grocery store, seemed fabric made. The food was overpriced. We were the only guests in the restaurant and was served by at least 4 different people. I would not recommend this place for eating to anyone.

3/10We were excited to be eating here after reading the reviews. However the food was quite simply dreadful We had prawn cakes and croquettes to start, avoid. Tagliatelle with garlic prawns was dry, crispy and clearly been under a hot light for a long time. Prawns were frozen and tiny. BBQ ribs and fries weren’t even average. This is a wedding destination and when you have 2 separate weddings at the same time then the food for regular bookings is going to suffer. We traveled a fair distance to eat here and we were in and out in 45 minutes.

4.5/10We got there the place was completely empty and as nobody came to us I went to the counter. He asked me if I had a reservation and I said yes and offer to show him the email. He complaint that his boss didn't tell him anything. We both fell uncomfortable but I tried to make a joke about management in general. He let us choose the table and asked to see the email. Probably someone asked him to do so. I showed him and we made our order. The waiter was nice with us and could speak English that was great. But we could feel something wrong in the atsmosphere. We order the famous paella, that was ok but to be honest nothing so special as the reviews suggested. Maybe it was too early and that was just a bad timing. We were booked for 12:30 and we got there 10 minutes earlier.
