Had such a great experience here! The food was amazing and the staff went out of their way to accommodate me as a vegetarian. I ordered the gnocchi, and they were happy to adapt it so it worked perfectly for me — super creamy, rich with parmesan, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. Portions are generous, the vibe is relaxed, and for the quality, it’s really good value. If you’re in the city and want a spot where the food and service are equally on point, this place is a must-visit.

We came to this restaurant based on the very high score, but I have been living in Aix for many years and I suspected that this could be actually a touristic restaurant. The service was nice and a part of the food was decent , I am talking about the fois gras. I had eggs as a starter with mayonnaise and truffles which were served warm , personally I would recommend this to be served cold . The tartare de boeuf was decent. The biggest dissapintment was spaghetti with gambas. These were cooked in a very heavy tinned tomato sauce that gave a bad taste , the serious issue was that one gambas was overcooked and one was totally raw , when I opened it the raw juice invaded the pasta. I am very sorry that I did not return the dish in that moment . I have mentioned my dislike to the waiters and there was a formal apology. Just now I read the negative reviews regarding the food of this restaurant . In conclusion I can not recommend this restaurant due to the high prices and non quality food

The little square where Arev is located is very small, nice and typical but at the same time it has 3 restaurants one next to the other - a bit too crowded and noisy. At Arev the menu is fairly touristic, good quality and price point but would not say above average

Nice ambience in a small square full of restaurants. I ordered the chicken ceasar salad as it was a very warm evening. It was ok but the chicken was done in batter which was not to my taste. Otherwise service was good.

our steaks were undercooked but only bc we’re not used to France’s idea of medium it was fixed quick. our fault really. service was outstanding for a touristy place and that tiny square is a great place to people watch 15/10 for ambience in Aix

Both the food and the service were absolutely amazing. My two young sons loved the gnocchi with ham, they said it was the best ever. My steak was perfect, wine by the glass was excellent. I don’t know our waiters name but he is the best we’ve experienced in France. We will definitely be back.

Service and ambiance were amazing- beautiful setting in a cul de sac of a charming alley street. The waiters are soo helpful and accommodating. The food was ok, but the vibe, music, and hospitality made our experience great.

Attentive staff. Owner was very present and walking around to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. He saw me struggle with opening langoustines and offered to help open them. Food was excellent! We got the burrata salad (was more like focaccia with burrata on top) which was huge and delicious, the gnocchi which was perfect and the spaghetti which was creamy with a generous portion of sliced Parmesan. Nice venue in a small square with several other restaurants. The square was big enough to be comfortable but not big enough to be overwhelming with foot traffic. Would definitely come back!

The beef skewers were so tough that it took forever to chew one piece. Two of us had the skewers. Two of had the langostinos which were mush as they were so overcooked. At another table our friend sent back the beef skewer. Maybe they were having an off night?

I recently dined at Arev, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the menu offered a delightful variety of dishes. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Arev for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience!

While it's usually the cuisine that has to come first anywhere, tonight it was the very friendly, attentive (but not overly so) service by all team members. That's not to say that each course wasn't outstanding. Wonderful evening and, not realizing that tables were outside and not bringing a jacket or sweater, the weather cooperated and, happily, smoking was limited to an end table.

I actually wish there was a 0 star option for the food and service at this restaurant. My husband and I have enjoyed so many wonderful meals during our stay in Aix and this one was not like the others. The food was terrible and when our wait staff picked up our uneaten dinners, no one even asked why. Our wait staff took a cigarette break and started cleaning up while we waited for our check. It is difficult to find a bad meal and terrible service in Aix, but this restaurant did not meet that standard at all. The ambiance is great, but maybe just go for a drink!

Place Ramus has somewhat of a vibe as a hotspot for young tourists and French youth. As a middle-aged person, you might be tempted to pass by Arev, but the food there is truly excellent. My wife and I highly recommend the "menu" featuring a starter salad and prawns, a main course of tagliatelle with langoustines, and a café gourmand dessert (€32.50). This "menu" does not qualify for the 20% discount from The Fork, but the price-quality ratio is already very good, so anyone who complains about that is just nitpicking. The service is very friendly and attentive.

Terrific service and atmosphere. Very welcoming hosts and a beautiful restaurant. Also a nice menu with good options for a nice dinner. The food itself was a bit disappointing for us. The risotto was a bit bland and the pasta was just alright. However, we still had a wonderful dinner altogether.
