A warm and friendly atmosphere in a very cosy restaurant, an extensive menu of various fish and meets with most items available to view before ordering. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented.

Frindly staff, reasonable prices and good quality of food. I would reccomend to reserve a table. The restaurant opens at 8pm. Within a short time all tables are occupied. Most clients are locals. Definately worth a visite ans areccommodation.

Wonderful food, but not enough serving staff, so service was very slow. They do give you a hard-boiled egg to keep you busy when you sit down, though, & prices are reasonable.

Great fish and Italian food. It must be the best of Siracusa because only Italians were there.

Friendly staff, you can choose your meat if you want as its laid out like a butchers shop. Have been paying up to €110 on Ortigia for dinner this 3 courses with wine and water €60 it’s not tourist loads of friends and locals in here. Complimentary nibbles were Boiled Eggs & Nuts. Don’t know if this is traditional or homage to Laurel and Hardy when Ollie was in hospital and Stan brought and eat him self “Bioled Eggs and Nuts”

We were forewarned by other reviews about the oddness of having hard boiled eggs and a dish of peanuts in their shells placed on the table as soon as we sat down. I just ignored these two dishes, though my husband ended up eating some peanuts. We could have done without them, and with some bread instead. The atmosphere isn't anything special. I was also given a menu missing the first page (with the primi) ,and with other pages out of order, leading to a mixed up order initially, but we were able to straighten it out. I had the ravioli I a pork ragu sauce, my husband had pasta with a similar sauce. These were hearty and tasty, though I could have done without having to pick out the bay leaves. Oddly there were also a couple of small pieces of potato, as if someone had been making a stew and ladled some of it into the sauce. We had the salsice di cinghale (boar sausage) which was quite good. The house wine we had was decent as well.

Disappointing. We booked this restaurant after seeing v good reviews on Trip advisor. We booked a table for 7.30 and arrived a bit earlier as we were cold and tired only to be told the restaurant wasn't open till 8 p.m even though they had accepted our booking for 7.30. So we had to sit outside in the cold for some time. When we did get in we ordered straight away. We ordered the boar sausages and mixed grill but the meat was all extremely salty and the sausages didn't taste like wild boar at all. We also ordered the mixed anti-pasta plate and my husband broke off a large part of his tooth after biting on an olive that he didn't know was in the anti-pasta and caused him considerable pain for the rest of the trip.

This is the second time we went in one holiday. The food was just as good as the first.
