Must visit place in Madrid! Staff, service, food everything was like at home. Very friendly atmosphere.

Good central location. Excellent cochinhilo asado. Very tasty grilled green pepper.

The overall experience was okay. What I find unpleasant is after we were seated, we were asked 3 times if we had a reservation, which we did. That means they lack coordination with each other. Also, the other tables were asked if all is good and how they find the food. We felt the racial undertone because we are Asians even though we can speak and understand Spanish. In this part, there is a lack of consistency in service and professionalism. But the food was good.

We enjoyed our meal at Astor. Juicy sucking pig with crispy skin was delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. A lovely Chinese lady. We asked for wine advice, and I think it was the owner who was quite pushy recommending a wine Which was more expensive than what we wanted to pay. Chairs could have been more comfortable. But overall a good experience.

Suckling pig delicious, service good but no welcome, smiles or conversation. Ambience makes all the difference-it’s nice to feel welcomed.

The arrival with reservations was great. The food was great. The service was off — requested one glass of wine and they brought the bottle— charged the bottle and requested the removal of the bill. They took the bottle and made sure we did not serve more… which we did not. They removed it from the bill (very bothered) and we left the actual difference of the bill as a tip. A bit loud for my personal liking; but manageable.

The staff were very helpful with suggestions about portion size and options for side dishes. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. They had a nice wine list and offered helpful suggestions. It was a wonderful evening, making the last evening of our vacation very memorable.

The food was good. The place was small, crowded and noisy. Service was slow

Fantastic service and food.

The service was quick but less than friendly, even in Spanish. The cerdo was good. The solomillo needed to go back to bring it to medium rare and even then it was more crudo than poco hecho. Tender and flavorful. It was okay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner made us feel like she invited us to her home.

Cochinillo was very good and dessert was delicious! Besides that I would like to mention extremely kindness of the waiter who served us!

So tasty meat that you want to come back everytime when you visit Madrid

The cochinillo asado was great and as recommended by the hotel we’re I’m staying.

I have never been to Madrid, and was exhausted mentally and physically and emotionally, and dining alone. They were very solicitous, but not at all annoying in service. It’s known for meat dishes, and it’s a bit tucked away. I heard about it from a relative of a relative who grew up in Madrid, and lives nearby. I had an app of octopus that was beautifully cooked, and a composed salad with tuna that was perfectly dressed. A half bottle of white and a flan and after dinner shot brought the price to €59. A bit steep, for a family restaurant, but I didn’t mind. I was well looked after. Lovely solo evening

Dinner at Asador Real was incredible! Highly recommend their suckling pig and their appetizers were also great!

The lamb was inedible. It seemed to have been pressure cooked rather than roasted. It came suspiciously quickly and was stringy in texture. Really expensive meal which really disappointed.

Great time, pig was amazing.

Cochinillo and pulpo are excellent but price a little high.

Suckling duck was very juicy and crispy on the outside and very flavorful. The portion for two is enough for three person, if you order some sides.

Our experience was amazing! The food, the personal, the owner Cecilia, are the perfect combination for a great restaurant. We recommend Asador Real because of everything!!!

Good food, average service. You really need to love what you do. If you don’t have an honest smile on your face (and believe me, it shows) its clear you are not there to improcedente customer’s experience. Be somewhere else.

The unusual items on the menu were a change from normal offerings. We arrived early but were greeted and offered an outside table. The service was very friendly and competent. Thank you very much.

They were in a rash. So we had to ordered right away and no time to enjoy the lunchtime but the food was really good

The food was nearly all bones and little meat, it was very greasy, the desserts were tasteless and burnt and we felt rushed as staff were clearing our table while we were still eating

The cochinillo was really the highlight of our lunch! The meat was very tender and juicy, and would easily be separated from the bone. And the skin was extra crisp and flavorful. So yummy!

One of the best cochinillos in Madrid

The overall dining atmosphere is very enjoyable, but the roast suckling pig is a bit greasy.

Asadero Real in Madrid offers an unforgettable dining experience for lovers of traditional Spanish cuisine. The star of the menu, their cochinillo, is cooked to perfection—crispy skin giving way to tender, succulent meat that melts in your mouth. The ambiance is charming, familiar and initimate (we loved the wooden division between tables). Service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring a delightful visit. Asadero Real is a must-visit for an authentic taste of Spain's culinary heritage.

We keep coming here year after year, food is still great. Particularly lamb kidneys and suckling pig. But the ambience is getting tired. May be that's the point.

Great restaurant with delicious dishes and amazing service. Definitely recommend the pork and the house wine!

This little restaurant was a great find under the bridge. Food was excellent. Love the appetizer as well as the cochinillo, the best in town. Service was great too! Of course, since the staff were all Filipinos!
