10/10So happy we chose this restaurant to eat before we visited Anne Frank house. The food was excellent and we felt welcomed by the staff and owners.. It was like being in Sicily! To the Senora of house thank you so much, the lemonchello was delicious!

10/10We had an amazing time here. The food was delicious and tasty. Service was amazingly kind and quick. We also got a little chef suprise starter and a small limencello to end the meal. So lovely 100% recomemnded

10/10NYE dinner here was amazing. Service was excellent, cozy atmosphere and enough can’t be said about the quality of the food and wine. We had been traveling through France and Belgium for 2 weeks and ended our trip in Amsterdam. This was hands down the best meal and service we experienced on our trip. Love, love, love everything about our night here.

5/10The waiter was very rude and was clearly overwhelmed as it looks like they are understaffed. The inside area is super hot and there in no AC. The drinks and food took ages to arrive, and the food was not as tasty as I would expect.

10/10What a wonderful dinner I had with my two daughters at Assaggi on Sunday evening. We sat in a small enclave at the back of the restaurant which created a very intimate dining experience. We were greeted by the friendly staff and our server was wonderful - she really took care of us, was attentive, and laughed with us a lot. She also brought over a wonderful surprise drink - frozen vodka limoncello - at the end of the meal, which was fantastic. The food was delicious and plentiful, starting with the incredible bread and olive dip for the table. We enjoyed the tomato basil soup, the pear salad, the mushroom rollatini, and pasta bolognese, all of which were extremely good and authentic. We would definitely come back on our next trip to Amsterdam!

10/10Recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Tapenade was fabulous. And the salad was one of the best I have ever had. The rigatoni was excellent as well!

10/10Probably the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy! Antonio, Massimo, you guys ROCK! What a fantastic evening we had in your restaurant yesterday ! You made us feel welcome and at home, in true Italian style. Hats off! We were a group of 10, arriving from India, UK and Sweden, celebrating 50th birthday of a friend and you made it very special. We had Parmigiana Di melanzane scomposta, cuore Di bue, Sea bas in tomato sauce, pastas, tiramisu - all in excellent style. But your special truffle risotto combined with the fine Barolo wines was just outstanding! I will make another trip to Amsterdam, with my other friends, just to try rest of your menu. Thank you!

6/10Unfortunately the staff were not attentive and we felt everyone around us was being prioritised over us. It was a very disappointing meal especially as we had just got engaged and I had told them on the booking that it was a celebration for our engagement.

7/10Food and wine were good. Far from the best Italian in Amsterdam but a quality kitchen staff that can build a good Italian dish. The food was out FAST in a full restaurant. The speed of the food made us feel like we were eating at McDonalds. Service was ok. We're a mixed Dutch/English group that speak english and feel like we were treated like tourists. Tourists. = they want to turn the table over to the next diners as they'll never see us again. It's been a few years since we've visited the restaurant, it's changed. It will be the last.

9/10The food at Assaggi was amazing! We loved everything we ordered from the fresh burrata with ham, pear and cheese salad and carbonara pasta! Every bite was delicious! The restaurant was recommended to us and we would definitely go back again if we lived in Amsterdam.

8/10Would recommend but it’s not perfect. Waiter spilled a glass of our wine and then refilled the glass with the wine from the bottle I had purchased. And didn’t seem to care. If you’re looking for attentive service it’s not here. Food was very good however and I’d recommend

10/10Unbelievable service, personal but subtle. The food was delicious and we were given an excellent wine recommendation - and one that was reasonably priced. It’s always so good to find a restaurant that lives up to its expectations when you are a visitor in a busy tourist destination.

8.5/10Excellent strarters (seabass and melanzana) and dessert (tiramisu). We were disappointed with the main dishes (spaghetti pesto, which was very heavy and the ravioli which were not very refined). The starters would deserve to have the main dish spot. Overall a good experience.

7.5/10I started with PARMIGIANA DI MELANZANE SCOMPOSTA. Even though I think the dish was a little under-salted, I did enjoy this starter a lot. My main dish (INVOLTINO DI PASTA FRESCA RIPIENO DI FUNGHI MISTI CON LA SUA DEMI GLACE) came out real nice too. I’m not a fan of using QR guided menus in a restaurant, that felt a bit odd. Major downside to our experience was the bad sewer odor throughout the restaurant…
