We had an enjoyable meal at Assuntina. Everything was very tasty and the service was lovely but the restaurant atmosphere is a bit staid and stuffy. We particularly enjoyed the raw fish carpaccio and the seafood risotto. The price seemed reasonable for the quality of seafood.

The food was original, particularly their ravioli with a tomato based sauce, very good. Then spigola with salad and scalloped potatoes. A Frescati wine, fresh and dry. Our waiter Ramil was very attentive. Thank you!

The seafood is exceptional . The dishes are different and very enjoyable. This is our second time coming here and we will be back soon. The restaurant itself is very chic and service is excellent. It has a more up scale vibe to it for the Testaccio area.

I loved the spaghetti with shrimps. The sea bass was mediocre. The staff looked efficient and the service was good, though we had to wait for the first course a bit long. We will go back definitely with our sons to try some other dishes.

Fish overall good and fresh but the risotto alla pescatora was terrible: too much olive oil and seafood surprisingly all frozen …. not acceptable for a fish restaurant.

The place needs a good deep cleaning, even the walls were dirty where I was sitting and it was many flies(!!!) Food was okey and the staff is veeeery nice, but honestly I’m scared to eat in places that is this dirty. Bathroom was okey but sticks so it also needs a real to be cleaned.

Very good! Nice restaurant in the heart of Testaccio, the service was really really excellent. Very welcoming and friendly. The timing was perfect between ordering and our courses. The food was very good, great portion size. I would be more than happy to return in the future.

Nice restaurant. The food and the service are good. The price/quantity ratio is not fantastic but having a good discount makes it ok. The only thing that needs to be improved considering the restaurant standards is the toilet cleaning level.

This is a restaurant we have frequented many times in the past but this time the food was really disappointing. The service was also below par and we sensed a kind of arrogance which was totally uncalled for. We had to send our starters back and the mains were just about edible. We won't be back in a hurry which is a pity cause it was very good in the past. It's quite hard to find a bad meal in Rome.

We eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. The menu is diverse and unique along with classics. You must try their signature moscardini in tomato sauce or the vegetable crusted snapper. Delicious. The service standard is high and also consistent. We love Assuntina.

I don’t like writing bad reviews but we ordered the seafood risotto for 2 and we found it disappointing. It tasted like it had been prepared using a frozen bag of mixed seafood. Also the restaurant was sold out of the less expensive wines. The white wine we had was nice but it was just annoying that the cheaper wines on the wine list were not available. The service was competent but not very friendly. A coca cola for 3€ was charged by mistake but I didn’t notice this until I looked at the bill the next day. Also the ambiance was not great.

The place is excellent - for its setting, food, service, about everything ... except the prices that are a bit "elevated", though not excessive. Food is traditional but delicious - and no frills (like colourful dots all over the plate and similar fancy stuff ...) - we love it already for that! Antipasto (broccoletti e gamberi) was sublime! Excellent also the primo piatto (linguine con astice). Main courses (filetto rombo agli agrumi e mandorle; filetto di salmone alla griglia) were very tasty and well prepared. Divine again the dessert (mille foglie con chantilly)! The service was excellent - welcoming and efficient, the right mix between attention, helpfulness and discretion. Not the slightest sign of resentment when we were not happy with the initally selected wine and chose another bottle. So, all in all, the restaurant was a very pleasant discovery and we can definitely recommend it for many reasons. But do not expect that €40 on average (claim on The Fork site) will suffice for a delicious meal ...
