5/10Food was not so good especially the dosa's with stuffing is sticky and not so cooked well. Chicken lollypop was salty and not worth to try.. money waste do not recommend at all.

7/10Good starters, we had the medhu vada, sambhar vada & cauliflower 65. Lamb was a bit dry in the lamb biriyani bowl but the rice was flavourful. Masala in the maharaja masala dosa was a bit sweet. The chutneys were amazing especially the white coconut chutney! Overall: would recommend!

3/10We visited this place because of all the good reviews we noted on Google. But the place was eerie and no other customers. Two staff members completely ignored us. When we ordered food, they were not interested in serving us. Two of them kept talking about how the food may have gone bad. This terrified us and wasn't sure about this restaurant any more. When questioned their answers were vague and started make discriminatory comments. I'll never recommend this place to anyone ever.

7.5/10Good food, but the biryani was better than the dosas. For some reason the dosas (set of 5 different types) were not so nice. Biryani had a very nice taste though!

7/10We ordered mysore Masada dosa, the potatoes filling was not so good. It doesn't taste well. But for one time is ok. Not wordt repeating.

9/10We landed up on one of the fine South Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. Its located in one of the busiest streets of the Amsterdam so location wise is perfect. We tried Vada, Uthappam and Poori. Poori was excellent especially with Potato bhaji and Chole. Chutneys was tasty. Sambar was according to Tamil style which was expected. Place was little cramped up. That’s the only disadvantage.

9.5/10Good new place in the town! Loved the food and service!! We tried their Dosa, idli, chola bhatura, Mango lassi.. everything was good and fresh. In fact, they were preparing wada and samosa from scratch in front of us, which is a rare sight!!

9/10Chennai cafe is a new South Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. We wanted to tryout it as it appeared on top of our recommendations in Fork. We went on a Saturday evening for dinner. Surprisingly, the restaurant was half occupied considering it opened a few weeks ago We ordered the Pongal menu and it was the best economical and satisfying taste bud option this restaurant has. Normally, you won't find a South Indian platter in restaurants around Amsterdam for such a cost Next we ordered a masala dosa and filter coffee. The dosa was okayish but the filter coffee was too good! I will definitely visit the restaurant again. Recommended without restrictions if you want to enjoy South Indian food at an economical rate.

10/10Nice small restaurant. We took the doughnut starter, a mushroom dosa and a onion-paneer thick pancake. All was tasking great. Service was nice.
