Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff who took pride & pleasure in their work. The menu was short- often a good sign, with most options being very tempting. It was great that they were open on a Sunday night in January. It was possible to watch the chefs at work which was very interesting. In particular the desserts were subtle & well judged, better than most in Portugal which are overly sweet for us. The madelaines were light & hot-straight from the oven. We would recommend without hestiation.

Michelin star standard food cooked to perfection, tasty and classy presentation, without the fuss. Chef is ex Villa Joya and we can see the excellence and ambition on the plates. I would be sad to lose the relaxed and friendly and respectful service if it ever seeks a star. You don't get these shifty unclear food introductions in this restaurant, all is very clear. I will come back any time! You don't get any oversized portions, everything is well balanced and delicate, really enjoyable dinner. I had wine pairing, but would recommend taking a bottle of your choice instead, great wine list. The problem with wine paring is that the bottle has been opened for a while. But overall, a very good experience.

I went to Ato for dinner since that was one of the restaurants recommended by my B&B. Before arriving, I already checked out their menu online and had an idea of what I wanted to order. When I arrived, the staff greeted me with a warm smile and told me about their menu. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have the Algarve clam that day so I switch the starter to Duck Confit which turned out to be exceptional. I love the balance of flavor. Every bite I had made me wanted to eat more. It was so appetizing and delicious. The sweet potato gnocchi with hazelnut sauce was also very nice. I had tried other restaurants at Algarve, Ato is definitely my favorite!! If you are visiting Faro, make sure you dine at Ato. Their food and service are excellent. I already miss the food there.

The menu is creative and interesting, with local seasonal products. The open kitchen provides an opportunity to watch the action and the team are friendly and helpful regarding the menu and wines.

Always very good dishes. And you can see, how they are prepared with love and expertise- because the kitchen is more or less part of the guest-dining-room. The girl who serves should talk a bit louder; but with this lonely comment you see that the most important part, the quality of the food, is very, very good.

A lovely intimate restaurant with an innovative menu. The food was so fresh and tasty and the staff were lovely. The leeks were to die for and the portugese cake is possibly the nicest cake i have ever tasted. Would definitely recommend

Intimate dining experience with a blend of flavors and great atmosphere. I started off with the croquettes, grouper, clementine almond dessert and delicious blanco Duoro wine. It was my first time in Faro and I highly recommend this place.

Very kind and professional staff. Dishes are very good and super original! Definitely a place to go if you want to try a modern and fusion cusine.

All in all the food was very tasty but the portions are so small and on the other side very expensive compared to the amount of the food. After eating a main course I was still half full and could easily eat an other main, not like elsewhere where the portions are much bigger. Everything comes in small size including starters and desserts too. I recommend to eat elsewhere if you want to eat well. Otherwise it's okay to try if you not that hungry but you are still going to end up spending quite a lot.

A fabulous small restaurant with local produce cooked in a different and innovative way. The menu is small and seasonal while the service was welcoming and professional. A traditional restaurant but with a modern twist. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Cozy little restaurant with season food. Amazing and attentive service. Very good explanation of the food and recommendation. Open kitchen so you can see your food being prepared in front of you. Amazing taste and even if you choose fish dish you will get stuffed. Definitely recommending this place for a nice meal. They informed me that on weekends they also do lunches.

The fish was nice, sauce good but salty, the braised celery was mushy, the “prawns” were tiny little mushy shrimp. Was overall a disappointing dish. The dessert was nothing to write home about.
